At Glazing Vision, we ensure that we specify you with the correct product and glass specification to ensure that there is no thermal heat stress. Q: What is thermal heat stress? A: Thermal heat stress occurs when one area of the glass is heated, and the other stays relatively cool, this causes the glass to expand at different rates which leads to cracks and breakages. Q: How does Glazing Vision avoid this? A: We specify both toughened and laminated glass options as these are less prone to thermal cracking due to its enhanced strength. Q: Will the inside of my Glazing Vision rooflight condensate? A: Your rooflight should not condensate as our products are thermally broken therefore cold bridging should not occur. In addition, our experienced team works with you to ensure that you have the correct upstand with your product so the top metal point is not in contact with the rooflight.
