Donate To Charities While Riding Wonder Taxi 🚘 As of 17 August, Wonder offers the option for passengers to donate directly to the selected charities while paying their taxi fare. Simply scan the QR code and choose the donation amount, and your contribution will go to the charity of your choice! To support this initiative, we have partnered with Hong Kong Rehabilitation Power 香港復康力量, where the donations will support employment training and operational services for people with disabilities, helping them contribute into society. How to Donate:  1️⃣ Grab a Wonder Taxi via the "HK Transport" app or directly on the street.  2️⃣ When paying the fare, scan the Wonder QR code inside the taxi.  3️⃣ Confirm the fare and select your donation amount.  4️⃣ Complete the payment digitally.  5️⃣ Once payment is successful, your donation will be sent to the selected charity, with Hong Kong Rehabilitation Power 香港復康力量 currently being the featured charity. Communication is more than words, and the smiles on our faces demonstrate just how much we enjoyed being a part of Run Reigate on Sunday! Thank you so much to everyone who helped out: those behind the scenes who help events happen, the volunteers behind the stall, the choir members who sang, the people who came and talked to us, cheered us on or watched us sing, and last but not least, our fantastic running team in their tutus, rainbows and big foam hands. A report by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) says the amount donated through workplace giving fell by 7% in 2022 (latest figs) and the number of employees using salary sacrifice has fallen by 13%. https://lnkd.in/e4ngvWDg This makes legacy giving even more important. “Small, but mighty” is something that couldn’t resonate with us more at Lewisham Donation Hub 💪 This week is #SmallCharityWeek and a time to celebrate the impact that small charities, like us, have on lives and communities.  We may not be a team of 1000s, but we support 1000s - and we couldn’t do it without the tireless efforts of our volunteers and the generous donations of individuals and companies. In the last 4 years, we have helped over 1,300 households in London. Support has included everything from food and toiletries, through to electrical items and clothing. This week, we’re proud to pledge alongside NCVO to show our LOVE for small charities: L - Listen and Learn: I will learn what small charities do in my neighbourhood. 0 - Organise: I will get my community involved with small charities. V - Volunteer: I will support small charities with my time, voice and money. E - Engage: I will do a bit more to make my community better. #LoveYourSmallCharity #SmallCharityWeek2024

Small charities have seriously been through the wringer. Struggling to keep their doors open, at a time they're needed more than ever 💔 And, with the loss of the Small Charities Coalition, then The Foundation for Social Improvement, the future of infrastructure support feels uncertain. Last year, 360Giving's report found: • Very few trusts and foundations fund the sector infrastructure organisations, making it a "very fragile ecosystem." • There has been a decline in the overall number of infrastructure organisations. • There were disproportionate numbers of closures for organisations serving minoritised communities (including Black-led and disability organisations). • Due to structural inequity, these infrastructure organisations were also less likely to secure contracts. • Without these infrastructure bodies, there was less support available for Black and minoritised community groups. It feels like a constant uphill battle. But we won't stop fighting for change, and demanding support for small charities. 2024 feels like it's going to be a big year for the small charity sector. Let's stand together. We've got this 💪 P.S.
