Women belong to all aspects of society, and this year’s theme “Inspire Inclusion” emphasizes the importance of including women. With the Nourishing Crop, Better Farmer initiative, we are championing the empowerment of women in cocoa communities. Here's why this matters: Because when women thrive, cocoa thrives. Together, we're creating a future where women are empowered, cocoa is sustainable, and Africa is nourished. #herstory #iwd #iwd2024 #inspireinclusion #inspireinclusion2024

Before any international day celebration, I usually google the theme for the year's celebration. When I saw the theme for this year's international women's day, I was thrilled. I love it. UN sure knows how to celebrate women. 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻: 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀is what we really need at the moment. You can say that it didn't start today. #womensupportingwomen has trending for years, but this is more. Some ladies, women and girls are kind of missing it. I think it's time we built a worthy network and positive mentorship. It's time we helped each other navigate our path in a crowdy and rowdy world. UN has five key areas that our joint action can ensure women are not left behind: 📌 Invest in women: a human right issue. 📌 Ending poverty. 📌 Implementing gender-responsive financing. 📌 Shifting to a green economy and care society. 📌 Supporting feminist change-makers. It is a call to #investinwomen. This is me saying I am open to worthy networking. I can share the little knowledge I've got and hope to connect with older women. #IWD #IWD24 #investinwomen

INSPIRE INCLUSION 🖐🏾 I am really excited about International Women's Day (IWD) 2024 especially with its theme being "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress". There are five key areas needing joint actions according to the UN for this IWD. 1. Investing in women, a human rights issue. 2. Ending Poverty. 3. Implementing a gender-responsive financing 4. Shifting to a green economy and care society. 5. Supporting female change-makers. I am a firm believer that there is so much more to the woman than what meets the eye. We have the capacity to enact change and make profound impacts. The International commemoration is on the 8th of March, however, the month of March is Women's Month. Feel free to empower, celebrate, and inspire women all month long and even after. #inspireinclusion #investinwomen

We are a female-led agency that has been committed to uplifting and upskilling women across all industries for over 15 years. Saying that, it is vital to recognise that the issues facing women globally extend far beyond a hashtag or a post. Acknowledging that even as inclusive companies we are only a very small part in this allows us to direct our efforts where they are most effective - including highlighting those issues facing women in other parts of the world who won't be seeing these posts. These 5 key areas of action from the UN should emphasise that there are areas we do/can contribute towards, but that only a global effort committed to material change - as well as vital awareness - can make a real difference. We would encourage that, however small, making contributions to organisations such as the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), as we as a company have done today, are an additional step that can help bring real change into the lives of women and girls in need of support: https://lnkd.in/et_x6ehC #internationalwomensday

It’s not about inspiring inclusion. If you’re hosting events for International Women’s Day please do the research and know that this year’s theme is invest in women. This is the theme set by the United Nations who are responsible for setting it globally. The theme is also aligned with the demands of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2023: ending gender-based violence through adequate funding. The international women’s website, which looks official, is owned by a marketing agency. Their theme this year is #InspireInclusion, with a love heart symbol gestured with hands 🤦🏻♀️ My good friend Advita Patel shared a post about this last week which I have already reshared. But I keep seeing more events linked to the wrong thing. Advita shared the detail from United Nations: United Nations have five key actions that need joint action: > Investing in women, a human rights issue: Time is running out. Gender equality is the greatest human rights challenge, benefiting everyone. > Ending poverty: Due to the COVID pandemic and conflicts, 75 million more people have fallen into severe poverty since 2020. Immediate action is crucial to prevent over 342 million women and girls living in poverty by 2030. > Implementing gender-responsive financing: Conflicts and rising prices may lead 75% of countries to cut public spending by 2025, negatively impacting women and their essential services. > Shifting to a green economy and care society: The current economic system disproportionately affects women. Advocates propose shifting to a green economy and care society to amplify women's voices. > Supporting feminist change-makers: Despite leading efforts, feminist organisations receive only 0.13% of official development assistance. I’m currently looking at what we will be doing in line with the theme to take action in line with being part of the changes we need to see. Please don’t share a photo of the women in your team doing love hearts with their hands. That does nothing for anyone. #InvestInWomen #iwd2024

Did you know, according to UN estimates, if current trends continue, more than 342 million women and girls could be living in extreme poverty by 2030? On International Women's Day, let's take the time to recognize and value the contributions that women make for our society. Let's invest in our women, continue to support and uplift them, and make strides towards a more equitable future for all. #InternationalWomensDay
