The Minamata Convention on Mercury continues its vital work to reduce #mercury pollution across all sectors, including in artisanal small-scale gold mining (#ASGM), dental amalgam, skin-lightening products and cosmetics. 🌍🌿 As part of World Forest Week (#WFW9), IUCN and FAO convened global experts to address forest restoration and ecosystem conservation. A seed bank for Peru 🇵🇪 Through the implementation of seed banks to ensure the conservation of native plant species 🌽, farmers like Sixto Huaracha, from the village center Ayrumas Carumas in Puno, #Peru, can ensure food for their family and contribute to the conservation of the potato 🥔, an emblematic species from Peru.
