💡 OMU Professor Yutaka Amao and his team have done it again! In their previous research, they succeeded in synthesizing fumaric acid from bio-based pyruvic acid and carbon dioxide. Building off of this, the team has found a way to improve fumaric acid output through the use of two enzymes and a shorter incubation period, a key step needed to boost biodegradable plastic production.
