SGSITS INCUBATION FORUM (SIF) organized a breakthrough session for their incubatees, where the esteemed alumni of Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science, Mr. Ashish Kulshrestha, interacted one-on-one with the startups and provided them with mentoring. He helped resolve the queries of the startups, and he gave insights on how to formulate strategies going forward. Mr. Ashish Kulshrestha stressed the following during his interaction: ✔ Get comfortable with the uncomfortable. This is a very important thing that the entrepreneur must imbibe. There are disruptions in the market happening at a rapid rate; whatever the market is today will change completely two years down the line. Therefore, as entrepreneurs, we should get comfortable with the change. ✔ Whatever we observe gets improved. There are massive innovations and discoveries that took place just because people observed them. ✔ Whatever we do today, one thing we should take care of is the sustainability index of the earth. All the innovations we are making today should help keep the earth sustainable for generations to come. Visited University of Allahabad #Incubation #Center with my colleague Dr. Ram Kumar Mishra The University of Allahabad Incubation Centre (UoA-IC) was established for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship by supporting and promoting startups and facilitating their growth by incubating in the Centre. The Centre was established in the year 2022. A Section 8 company, Navkalpana Innovation and Entrepreneurship Foundation (NIEF) was incorporated to act as the special purpose vehicle (SPV) of UoA-IC. The Incubation Centre is actively involved in creating and strengthening an ecosystem for promoting entrepreneurship within and outside the University. It is dedicated to promoting a culture of innovative thinking for creating sustainable commercial ventures aligned to the core theme of the Centre so as to enable economic and social transformation. The main aim of the UoA-IC is to establish collaboration with the corporate sector, government agencies, non-governmental organisations and knowledge hubs for promoting and nurturing technology-based startups. Such partnerships will facilitate swift commercialization of innovative products and services. Apart from providing support to startup companies, UoA-IC also aims at incubating potential ideas that may lead to successful, financially viable and independent firms. The ultimate aim is to enable incubatees for commercializing new products, services, processes and technologies, and create jobs, thereby adding to the economic growth of India. Incubated startups shall not only benefit from business and technical assistance, they will also benefit from affiliation with the incubator, a supportive community with an entrepreneurial environment, direct link to entrepreneurs, cohorts and with other incubated companies. and immediate networking and commercial opportunities  

Empowering Startups: The Essential Role of Incubators in India" I’m pleased to share that a joint report led by Prof. Thillai Rajan A. from IIT Madras and Prof. Srivardhini K. Jha from IIM Bangalore has shed light on the pivotal role of incubators in our startup landscape. Key findings reveal that Chennai and Bangalore are leading the way with a high concentration of industry and academic incubators. This report underscores the impact of these incubators and emphasizes the need to elevate incubation activities and improve their quality nationwide. Prof. Jha highlighted how the report reflects the vital contributions of incubators, while Prof. Rajan pointed out that this research shifts focus from just startups and investors to the essential role of incubators in the value creation chain. Notably, incubated startups are 2.5 times more likely to secure funding compared to those without incubation support. Amitabh Kant remarked on the crucial role of incubators in fostering growth within the Indian startup ecosystem, and he commended the collaboration between two leading institutions in producing this timely publication. Prof. Rishikesha T. Krishnan emphasized the importance of innovation and how incubators support diverse creators by promoting grassroots development and leveling the playing field. As we bid farewell to a remarkable year, Sri Ramachandra Innovation Incubation Centre is elated to share our accomplishments. In the heart of innovation, we have incubated 17 startups and nurtured 24 preincubates, fostering an ecosystem of groundbreaking ideas. The synergy of academia and entrepreneurship is evident in the success of 3 student/faculty-led startups, born from 7 faculty development programs and 15 student sensitization initiatives. Our commitment to knowledge dissemination is showcased through 32 seminars, 3 hands-on training workshops, and 8 flagship events. Collaborating seamlessly with various faculties, we co-hosted 7 events. Notably, our outreach efforts spanned 26 events, fostering connections at 16 incubation centers, leading to 15 memorandum of understanding signings with esteemed institutions, investors, and banks. In the financial realm, we facilitated connections with 16 investors, and we are indeed proud of an impressive ₹4.5 Crores in funds secured by our 18 startups and innovators. We also have a filed patent and 3 products in the pipeline undergoing clinical trials. Beyond numbers, we are thrilled to have contributed to the job market, generating over 70 employment opportunities through our startup network.
