🌟 Celebrating Women's History Month! 🌟 At GLM, we understand the power of representation. As a woman-owned and led business, we're committed to being leaders in our communities. GLM team member Angela Goeppinger, ICAP serves on the Partnership Grand Strand board, an initiative to improve quality of life for residents and businesses across the Grand Strand. Through PGS, Angie recently welcomed a group of local English and Spanish-speaking students on a tour at SkyWheel Myrtle Beach. The students' purpose in visiting was to explore additional opportunities available in the Grand Strand area. Angie, who is bilingual and a woman of color, took this opportunity to connect and share her inspiring journey, emphasizing perseverance, dedication, and embracing discomfort on the road to success. She also stressed the importance of continuous growth through learning from various educational resources such as books and classes. Thank you Angie for empowering the next generation to dream big! #WomensHistoryMonth #Empowerment #Leadership

Today I facilitated a group of authentic femine leaders from around the world and as always I have some key take aways. We always learn from each other. 1. Communication - tell people what you need and don't expect them to guess. My colleague years ago said "Robyn, I haven't finished my Diploma in Mind Reading, so can you tell me what you need". (thanks Kaye) 2. Leaders don't know everything so have the courage to ask for help. Asking for help is a gift to the other person. 3. If you see discrimination, don't be silent. The more we can talk about it, the more we can support each other and make positive change. 4. Trust in yourself. I am so pleased to be involved with the Inspired Women Lead program. Please check it out. Changing the world one woman at a time. https://lnkd.in/gAg-SJiG

Excited to be chatting with Tynisha Coleman, ACC and Karlyn D. Henderson, M.A. about how to "lead from the pack" as a leader at Dutchie! I'm proud to be a leader of an ERG here at Dutchie and conversations like this bring mindfulness to our team about the value of being inclusive, especially when observing important periods like Black History Month. Whether its adding your pronouns to your zoom name or leaving room for more introverted team members to speak up, creating safe spaces for folks to bring all their ideas to the table leads to better execution overall. What do you all think are the qualities and actions that leaders execute on a daily basis to create an inclusive environment in the workplace? I'll start: My manager Devin McClintock has truly fostered a customer first, results oriented environment where there's no such thing as a dumb question. Our team calls can be anything from helping someone prep for a demo, a deep dive on a new feature or highlighting someone's execution in following up with a client. It creates a really productive environment for our solutions team! Tag someone in the comments and show em some love, don't be shy!

Dutchie’s Heritage ERG is proud to present “Leading From The Pack: Demonstrating Inclusive Leadership.” In this period of time where corporations are questioning the value of DEI, I’m honored to work for an organization that is continuing to lean into inclusivity. This thought-provoking panel discussion will hone in on lessons learned from civil rights leaders, key interpersonal insights, and how inclusion factors in all of us. Thank you to our amazing panelist Tynisha Coleman, ACC and Karlyn D. Henderson, M.A.. In addition, special thanks to our incredible host and Dutchie icon, Kwaku Abankroh. . . . #leadership #inclusion #technology

More and more I notice women showing up and doing what is required for them to thrive more than ever. They’re rewriting old scripts and stories that are no longer serving them. They’re learning to soften and allow goodness to come in. They’re learning to let go. They’re learning to follow their intuition. They’re taking risks as the cost of rejection and negative perceptions. They’re doing the work. I’m especially proud of my clients who are diving deep into these areas to build a thriving life for themselves, their business/career and their family/relationships. They inspire me more than anyone. The future of women in leadership is paving their own path, with their own creative expression, in their own energy. Take a minute to celebrate how far you’ve come and give yourself permission to be supported in your continued expansion 🤍

I had the pleasure of attending an in-session day with Kansas Leadership Center over When Everyone Leads. My greatest takeaway was asking better questions to identify “the gap” and further explore opportunities to close “the gap” in an impactful, open, and often collaborative way — helping individuals, teams, and organizations overcome challenges. While I certainly recommend checking out the program, here are a few key questions to get the ball rolling (as shared by KLC)… Question One: When you think about the future of ____________ (your company, your team, your community, or your family) what concerns you the most? Question Two: When you think about the future of ______________ (your company, your team, your community, or your family), what is your greatest aspiration? Question Three: What makes it hard to close The Gap between those concerns and aspirations? *** Thank you to The Thread: Women's Leadership Collective for working with KLC to provide growth opportunities for women in our community.

Latina's lose ground on their way to the C-suite, according to a report released by Lean In. If you are negotiating a new position, or are transitioning into a new role in your organization, *ask for professional development support towards coaching*. It will be an investment that will benefit not only you, but also your company. Since November 2022, as I vaulted over the VP step (from a senior program officer position into a C-Suite leadership position), Evelyn (Eva) Montalvo's coaching has been crucial to finding my footing. Eva is guiding me through an in-depth examination of my leadership style - including strengths and areas of growth. With her coaching, I am reflecting on how I want to present myself in my field, without loosing what sets me apart. Eva's feedback is accurate, direct, and constructive. It is also clear, so I leave each session knowing exactly what is mine to do. Coaching makes a difference, and who your coach is even more so.
