The explorer has told investors the graphite pre-concentrate from its Lilongwe laboratory facility in Malawi has produced high quality concentrates in benchtop and pilot-scale flotation and cleaning tests. These results are significant with the data confirming over 97% Total Graphite Content (TGC) and flotation recoveries exceeding 90%. Furthermore, the flotation results also demonstrated the mine ore upgrades to more than 55% TGC after the first round of flotation. Just as important for the project is the low level of impurities, which Sapan Ghai, chief commercial officer, says; "is exactly what's required for graphite to work well within a battery." Metinvest Group is committed to providing Europe with environmentally friendly iron ore to support the transition to green steel production. The company has all the prerequisites for investing in capacity and is implementing a number of modernization projects. This was discussed at the International Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery (URC2024) in Berlin, according to Dmytro Nikolayenko, Metinvest’s Chief Commercial Officer. «The Ukrainian Recovery Conference in Berlin has put forward many innovative ideas for the future of the Ukrainian economy. “Metinvest is committed to bringing these ideas to life by leading the initiative to ensure Europe’s transition to green steel production using environmentally friendly iron ore,” he said. The key prerequisites for investing in the group’s assets are large reserves of magnetite ore, which ensure sustainable DRI/HBI production, long-standing expertise in iron ore production, green transformation, strategic positioning, and proximity to Europe. The company is currently focused on the following current and future projects: •Modernization of the enrichment facilities of the Northern Mining and Processing Plant (Northern GOK). Focus: production of high-quality iron ore concentrate for DR pellets. •Modernization of the pelletizing plant at Northern GOK. Focus: improving pellet quality and equipment productivity. •Construction of DR pelletizing facilities. Focus: expanding capacity to meet the growing demand for high-quality iron ore. •Construction of DRI/HBI production facilities. Focus: construction of up to 3 new units with a total capacity of 7.5 million tons per year. Strong improvements to both the pit shell design and strip ratios for Cyprium Metals Limited (ASX: CYM)'s Nifty #Copper Mine have materially improved the project’s economics, while also reducing the mine’s footprint and shortening the time to first ore mined. Hastings is expediting the investigation of including a niobium (Nb) circuit to our Yangibana Rare Earths Project to provide a multi-commodity recovery process stream. We are pleased to announce the results of successful initial metallurgical test work on niobium samples sourced from our Bald Hill and Simon’s Find tenements. Here are the key points: ◾ Multi-Commodity Recovery:  Potential for by-product credits from niobium, complementing our primary focus on rare earth elements (Nd, Pr, Dy, Tb). ◾ Niobium Concentrations:  Niobium (Nb2O5) concentrations occur in the form of mineral ferro-columbite at the Yangibana Project over a 4-kilometre strike at the existing Simon’s Find and Bald Hill deposits. ◾ Widespread Occurrences: Niobium minerals are present across all prospects of the Yangibana Rare Earths Project. ◾ Upcoming Milestones: Further metallurgical test work results and a maiden Resource Estimate for niobium expected by Q3 2024. ◾ Initial Success:  Initial metallurgical test work has now been completed on selected samples from Bald Hill South at the Yangibana Project.  The initial test work recovered and concentrated the ferro-columbite to 16.88% Nb2O5 from a 0.87% Nb2O5 feed, a 19 times uplift of niobium grade. Pan Global Resources Inc. (TSX.V: PGZ I OTCQX: PGZFF)) reports on variability metallurgy testwork results from the La Romana copper-tin-silver deposit in southern Spain.   The results:   ·        confirm saleable concentrate grades are achievable across the deposit: high-value, high-quality, and clean copper concentrate at potentially lower cost than the average within the pyrite belt ·        simple conventional flotation process flowsheet ·        excellent recoveries up to 88% copper ·        concentrate grades up to 32.5% copper, with payable silver content and low in deleterious elements   Conclusion: These positive results are highly desirable for smelters and potentially attractive for blending with lesser quality concentrates to increase the value and reduce penalty costs. The results advance La Romana to the preliminary design phase of the metallurgical process.   The comment from Minepro Solutions SL (who are coordinating and managing the metallurgical test program) speaks to the unique (and positive) nature of the La Romana deposit in the context of the geologic region.   Compared to the average of deposits in the Iberian Pyrite Belt, the La Romana mineral deposit testwork demonstrated 1.      lower energy requirements for both crushing and grinding; 2.      coarser liberation sizes; and 3.      superior performance in the flotation process for copper.    #copper #metallurgy #Andalusia #IPB #EscacenaProject
