🚀 Exciting News for Migrants with Building and Construction Skills! 🚀 On 8th May 2024, Hon Brendan O’Connor MP, Minister for Skills and Training, announced the fast-tracking of skills assessments for migrants with building and construction-related skills. This initiative is part of the 2024-25 Budget’s focus on addressing urgent demand in Australia’s housing construction sector. Key Highlights: 🔹 Prioritised Skills Assessments: Over the next two years, Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) will prioritize around 2,600 skills assessments in targeted construction occupations. Streamlined assessments for approximately 1,900 potential migrants from countries with comparable qualifications. 🔹 Starting 1 July 2024: TRA’s in-house programs, including the Provisional Skills Assessment, Job Ready Program, and Migration Skills Assessment (MSA), is prioritizing these occupations. There is no need to apply for prioritisation; as TRA will identify relevant applications automatically. 🔹 From 31 July 2024: TRA has removed the mandatory Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP) for specific occupation/low-risk country combinations for applicants with relevant qualifications. This change offers a cheaper and simpler MSA. Applicants without qualifications can opt for OSAP occupations. 📌 Important Note: Before submitting your application, confirm with the Department of Home Affairs if a skills assessment is required for your visa application and ensure TRA is the correct authority for your nominated occupation. 🤝 For personalized advice and seamless assistance with your TRADE skills assessment, trust our experienced team to navigate the process for you. 🌟 Contact us today at 0415 419 414 or visit https://lnkd.in/gKJ6UUr. 🚫 The 2023-24 Tasmanian Skilled Migration State Nomination Program is now closed to new Registrations of Interest (ROI). If you have received an 📧 invitation to submit a nomination application but have not yet done so, you can still go ahead and proceed before the invitation expires 🗓. 🔚 No additional invitations to apply for nomination will be issued for the remainder of this program year. Migration Tasmania will continue evaluating lodged but undecided nomination applications. However, only a ↘ few nomination spots remain, meaning not all applicants will receive a nomination this program year. Once all nomination spots are filled, any approved applications 🖋 ✉ will be nominated once Tasmania receives its 📈 allocation for the 2024-25 program year. ROIs with a green or gold pass will be retained in the 📥 Application Gateway and considered for an invitation to apply for nomination when the 2024-25 program opens ✅. Share in a crucial opportunity to shape the future of Australia’s migration system. The Migration Strategy, unveiled late last year, outlines a comprehensive plan for the evolution of our migration framework. This strategy aims to streamline the list of occupations eligible for employer-sponsored visas, making it easier for businesses to access the skilled workers needed. Jobs and Skills Australia seeks feedback from businesses, Australian workers, migrants and job seekers to ensure the revised system effectively addresses industry needs. The deadline to provide feedback is Friday, 10 May 2024, at 5:00 PM AEST. To find out how, read more. #skilledmigration #migrationreview #skillshortage #immigration
