Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion/Retention Consultant - HR/Engineer/Navy Nuke == Moonlighting as a Photographer
If confederate flags and monuments are truly about honoring "your" heritage, then certainly there must be a better way for "you" to do that without forcing "me" to honor "your" heritage too, especially if I consider confederate icons to be hate symbols. Maintaining confederate flags and monuments on courthouse grounds is forcing "me" to honor "your" heritage. More appropriate places to honor "your" heritage would be: museums, cemeteries, or "your" house. Walton County Board of County Commissioners

However, Parthenon is the ultimate SYMBOL of PEACE and so dismembering the symbol of Peace is the ultimate HYBRIS. Would that be understood by the world and the UK they will themselves run to return what they have extracted from the Parthenon, to cease been seen as the MOST SINFUL ULTURE IN THE PLANET. The longer they retain them the graver their sin and the exposure to the humanity. Remember the Parthenon had been respected for two millennia by so many barbarians that had crossed through. From the Romans and the Herules, to the Visigoths and Francs. Even the Ottomans had left the Parthenon untouched ... Since I work in the space business I can think of the following scenario. Assume we meet another civilization in the future, and we discover in a planet a monument devoted to peace. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO WITH IT. The first to see that would cut the monument in pieces to bring it on Earth ? Even if that civilization would not anylonger be at its peak, what would the right behaviour be? Lets think a bit dear citizens of UK. Further, would some idiot misbehave with that and inflicts some kind of damage on it what the rest of the humanity should do about it ? Dear witnesses of the sinful behavior, think of your duty .
A superb graffiti in front of the Parthenon, on the subject of the #Caryatid that Lord Elgin stole from the Erechtheum, at the beginning of the 19th century... We ask for the return of the Caryatid, without conditions or in exchange.
