December alone set new weekly and single-day arrival records, driven by expanded flight routes, increased cruise stops, and events like the Crucian Christmas Festival. Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni, met today with the president of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCC) Alexandros Vassilikos, the president of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) Giorgos Stasinos, and the secretary general of the Greek National Tourism Organization Andreas Fiorentinos. The focus of the meeting was on the classification system for Greek hotels based on sustainability criteria, as well as their evaluation and certification according to their environmental and social footprint. As the minister pointed out, the classification system essentially constitutes a roadmap for sustainability, viability and resilience, which is part of the Ministry of Tourism's strategy for the qualitative development of Greek tourism.
