With the cold weather coming we would like to give a few tips to help keep your pipes from freezing. 1. Insulate outdoor pipes, pipes in your attic, and hose bibs. We do not recommend using cloths or towels to insulate. If they get wet, they could freeze, which would make the pipes colder and possibly freeze. 2. Take water hoses off. Use styrofoam covers on the hose bibs. 3. Drip your faucets using both handles. If you have a single handle, try to meet somewhere in the middle so the hot and cold water are coming into it at once. 4.
