The Russian occupiers understand that the arrival of weapons and #Western F-16 fighters will strengthen the capabilities of the #Ukrainian Defense Forces. This was announced on Facebook by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, Censor.NET reports. The enemy is well aware that as a result of the gradual supply of a significant amount of weapons and military equipment from our partners, the arrival of the first F-16s, which will strengthen our air defense, time will play in our favor, and his chances of success will decrease," the Commander-in-Chief noted. That is why, #Syrskyi said, the Russian military command is currently making every effort to increase the intensity and expand the geography of hostilities in order to maximize the exhaustion of our troops, disrupt the training of reserves, and prevent the transition to active offensive actions. A widening shake-up in China’s defense establishment has raised questions over leader Xi Jinping’s ability to end corruption in the military and build a modern, combat-ready fighting force as geopolitical challenges crop up along its borders. The unexplained and sometimes abrupt changes in China’s senior military personnel over recent months—including the removal of the defense minister—reached a crescendo last week, when Beijing ejected nine high-ranking People’s Liberation Army officers from the national legislature and stripped three top defense-industry executives of their roles as government advisers. Among those removed are two generals who previously commanded China’s strategic-missile force, a former air force chief and an admiral who led naval forces operating in the South China Sea—a geopolitical hot spot where China is increasingly facing off against the U.S. and others. Some of the nine removed officers have been involved in arms procurement, a field long seen as susceptible to corruption. Beijing hasn’t explained why the 12 men were removed last week.
