China’s foreign exchange reserves reach 3.2224 trillion dollars 💵🇨🇳👏🏻 The country’s gold reserves were unchanged in June at 72.8 million ounces, equivalent to $169.7 billion. The amount fell by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange reported, attributing the decline to the combined impact of currency conversion and asset price changes. #China #Asia #Yuan #Gold #Currency #Currency

China is now in the same position as the US in 1945 - it holds most of the world physical gold. Since antiquity gold is the ultimate store of value even when empire rise and fall and their currencies become worthless. Through the Shanghai Gold Exchange any country or corporation can received payment for trade of energy or commodities in RMB and convert the RMB into physical gold to be held at the exchange. They can take delivery of the physical gold if they want to. When there is a financial crisis and the LBAM and Comex have more paper gold contracts than physical gold and nobody wants to accept USD and ask for physical gold delivery - you will see a collapse and the reordering of the world financial market just like Bretton Woods. https://lnkd.in/dpY7DqaH

💰The gold standard was a monetary system where the value of a countries currency was directly tied to the amount of gold it had in reserves. A country was forced to buy more gold if it wanted to print more money. 💸This was abandoned in the 1970s and was replaced by the current system, where the value of the currency is not backed by a physical commodity, it is backed by nothing except “trust”. Between 2020 and today, the U.S. has printed more money than all the money that was ever printed before.📈 #currency #gold #monetary #money #economy #finance

Why do we need to preserve Gold? China is accumulating more amount of Gold than ever. Chinese investors are the first ones whom directed their investment to Gold starting of this rally. This particular information we all aware so far. However the information which hides behind this is, China is rapidly selling more amount of US Assets as well. One of the reason for this is to support Chinese Currency, which is multi year low. The other important reason is due to Geo political reason. Whatever the reason, If China is trying to shift some money away from the U.S. – controlled financial system, it does not have too many options. Gold is one of the few markets that has sufficient liquidity to absorb billions of dollars of China’s funds. If a market like china decided to accumulate further Gold, then it will definitely add more momentum to the Gold price further! China has the only currency that is convertible into gold. The convertibility is limited right now and only applies to oil transactions. For example, if Saudi Arabia sells oil to China, it can take the yuan and convert it into gold on the Shanghai Gold Exchange. Look for more of the same come October 2024 when the BRIC's nations meet and are reportedly going to announce a new currency. I see that China has recently stopped buying gold on the open market. That may mean that it believes that it has enough gold to participate in supporting a gold-backed currency, and even more especially, a currency which is convertible into gold, which made the US dollar the world's reserve currency for the last 100 years. Nixon made a big mistake when he decoupled the dollar from gold. All we've seen from that move is the devaluation of the dollar. How much are you paying for chicken, eggs? Are you old enough to remember how little those items used to cost? I am.

Is there something fishy in China's gold market? 🇨🇳 Why is there a 1,300-tonne gap in China's gold holdings? As of 2023, China produced and imported approximately 1,775 tonnes of gold. Yet, only 431 tonnes were officially recorded as held by Chinese buyers, banks, and the central bank (PBOC). This leaves a puzzling gap of over 1,300 tonnes that remains unaccounted for. Is this just an oversight or is there a bigger story behind it? 🤔 Potential reasons: 1️⃣ Undisclosed PBOC Purchases: The PBOC might be strategically buying gold while withholding disclosures, potentially to shift away from US dollar reserves amidst rising geopolitical tensions. 2️⃣ Hidden Buyers: Other major buyers, such as China’s sovereign wealth fund, may be quietly accumulating gold. 3️⃣ Reporting Gaps: There could be discrepancies in reported reductions by banks and underreporting of household gold purchases. Is China stockpiling gold for reasons we’re yet to fully understand? 🌐💡 Here’s the link to the report which I referred for this post! https://lnkd.in/d447FrBY #GoldReserves #Geopolitics #ChinaEconomy #CentralBanks #GlobalTrade #PreciousMetals #Investment #Finance
