Learn more about the Global Heat Reduction Footprint! 🌏 The GHR Footprint is the most complete climate footprint on the market. 🌏 That's because it measures ALL drivers of climate change - not just CO2 and other long-lived greenhouse gases, but also methane, nitrous oxide, black carbon, HFCs, and more. 🌏 This level of visibility allows you to choose the best mitigation strategy for your needs. More data = better decisions for your organization ➡️ Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gkWkw_G2 #climatefootprint #globalwarming #climatesolutions #netzero

Growth in CO2 levels just hit a new year-on-year high. The major parties seem trapped by their vested interests and paying only lip service to climate action. I think credible I ndependents are our best hope. We can energise, mobilise and vote for a safe planet. I’d love your thoughts on my latest blog.👇🏽 https://lnkd.in/eR6gtg-e

The various carbon-capture utilization and storage/sequestration (#CCUS) technologies currently under development offer very different economic and environmental benefits. Some may even worsen climate change. The Global CO2 Initiative at the University of Michigan has mapped best and worst cases. https://lnkd.in/dzmrakuE

Climate change refers to significant and lasting changes in the Earth’s climate patterns, primarily attributed to human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes. These activities release greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) into the atmosphere, trapping heat and causing global temperatures to rise. Before the Industrial Revolution, the CO2 level was around 270 parts per million (ppm). In 1960, the CO2 level was approximately 313 ppm. Earlier this year, it reached 400 ppm. Many climate scientists say that to prevent the impacts of climate change, the CO2 level needs to be reduced to 350 ppm

🌡️ 2023 became the hottest year in history, with an average temperature 1.2°C above the 20th century average. Is it a big surprise? 🤔 This chart from NOAA Climate.gov shows a clear correlation between atmospheric CO2 concentrations 📈 and the average global surface temperature 🌍. The trend is self-explanatory and anticipates the record-breaking figures of 2023. Here is a simple evidence of climate change and its direct link to human activities, serving as a useful tool to convince people that we must start making changes before it's too late ⏳. From time to time, for individuals, organizations, and mission-driven companies like ClimeRock, it’s essential to remember why we are committed to reducing the atmospheric CO2 level. 🌱 Link to the articles (related to the chart and 2023 map and figures) in the comments. 👇

A very interesting article about methane emissions. The most methane emitting sectors are Agriculture, Oil and Gas, Waste. The article discusses methods, status and strategies to reduce methane emissions.
To keep temperature rise below 1.5°C, #fossilfuel operations must reduce their methane emissions by 75% by 2030. 📉 New research from WRI Climate looks at why a #justtransition is crucial to methane action planning: https://bit.ly/448vVDZ
