Choosing the right images is key to creating accessible Easy Read documents.  Images should represent the words, actions or descriptions you are communicating. Clean, simple images are best practice, with limited ‘busy’ background. Though the image on the right shows someone sneezing near flowers, the background can become distracting to some. The image on the left is simple, showcasing someone sneezing in front of a single flower. It would be our choice to use for text discussing Spring or nature based allergies. The rise of inclusive smart packaging ⤵ Smart packaging goes beyond protection these days. More products are offering interactive experiences to deepen consumer interaction and engagement but others are focused on catering to diverse needs. The 'Navilens' code for instance has been a game-changer for blind consumer inclusivity. Kellogg's are a great example of a brand who have utilised Navilens codes on their boxes. Using a free phone app, these colourful QR codes can be detected up to three metres away to allow the customer to find the product on the shelf. Once the QR is scanned, the information such as ingredients, allergy warnings etc. can then be read to the user. There is still definitely more to be done in order to make packaging more inclusive, with a need for more brands to make inclusivity a priority when it comes to packaging design. Summer is here and also...the wedding season! 💒 The story began when we first started planning our wedding, we found that many items such as wedding invites, agenda, etc. are single-use only and they are mostly made with papers or plastics. Because of this (and totally not because I'm working in tech 💻), we decided to fully digitalise our wedding using mainly a WEBSITE! Yes, you heard it right! We built a website from scratch and put up all the event details there, including the gift registry (which is fully electronic as well). The website became a one-stop shop for guests to RSVP to the event, find out details about the wedding and provide individual details such as food allergies. 👌 I would encourage anyone to digitalise their wedding experience as it's a more sustainable and efficient way to communicate with your guests and release details about the event. 😀 #tech #digital #wedding #digitalisation #technology #websites #websitebuilding #weddingplanning

Here’s how I use Midjourney To create beautiful, custom emails… In this experiment, I had an idea to do an email about dog allergies. The only problem: I had no good photos for “allergens”....so what do I do? Subscribe to a stock image site? Why would I do that when I have Midjourney? With stock image sites you're stuck with what they have. Midjourney can create anything you want. Prompting for these was pretty simple. Use the “category” structure…it works every time. Use general categories of an image like Subject Focus, Details, Colors, Background, Composition, Camera, etc. Then use Subject Reference image attachments to dial in a style without having to think of the words. You’ll see a couple blocks I created for the email in this post using the images. Turned out pretty clean.
