Teamwork Makes The Dreamwork. Regardless of who is on your team...you won't get very far if you are not all rowing in the same direction...or...swimming in the proper lane!! The US women set a new world record in the 4 x 100 medley relay race...and it was not really even close. In a sport separated by tenths or hundredths of seconds, they won by over 3 seconds! Anyone in business can easily make the comparison of team sports and your team in business. Everyone having a job to do, and the other teammates depending on one another to do that job...for the success of the project, the company...or the race! I am loving these Olympic games...the stories of triumph and overcoming obstacles are just so inspiring. And, the sheer emotion of the wins, slight losses or just even finishing... is visible on every competitors face... be it these amazing young women here or so many other athletes from around the world. So freakin' cool!!! Congrats to these champions: Regan Smith Lilly King Gretchen Walsh Torri Huske For those of us who can't swim very fast, but can impact our teams at work...what can you do today to be part of making your team better?? I can show up with a great attitude and try and lead by example as I lift up those around me. Lets have a great week people! #TeamUSA #USOlympicTeam #Olympics #BusinessExcellence #OlympicMindset #TeamworkAndSuccess #InspirationForSuccess

Silver with a Hand in His Pocket: Yusuf Dikeç’s Unconventional Path to Success In the world of sports, we often hear about athletes with top-notch gear and endless resources. But Yusuf Dikeç, the Turkish marksman, showed us something extraordinary at the Paris Olympics. With limited gear and a hand in his pocket, he snagged a silver medal. 🥈 Here's what we can learn from his journey 👉 Equipment and resources are only part of the story: Dikeç's story is a testament to when even if you don't have the biggest resources, or the most talented team or even the smartest mind, you can be more than the sum total of your own self. In the event, he competed without specialized lenses, eye cover and ear protection, yet he shot his way to a medal. 👉Focus: If there was one thing that you can really learn from is sometimes, we really need to cut down all the distractions and focus on only the goal. In today's world, there are too many distractions making us less focused and delivering sub optimal results. Always try and block chunks of time rather than constantly switching between multiple tasks. You never know, it may get you a medal :) 👉Be humble and work hard: sometimes, we hype ourselves to the level of craziness, but we all can take a leaf out of Dikeç's story and be humbler and more grounded in life. People see his success today, but don't see the years of hard work that he had put in for that result. Quoting an interesting line from his bio on the Olympics "Success doesn't come with your hands in your pocket." Ironically, he might have to rewrite that line now 😉 Shooting his way to a medal and breaking the internet with his style. Kudos to Yusuf Dikeç and let his story inspire us to look beyond our constraints and find strength in our resilience, creativity, and focus. #Olympics #Inspiration #Resilience #Focus #Innovation #Leadership #YusufDikeç #SportsLessons

"Embrace Olympic grandeur: harness athletes' resilience and determination for triumph." The Olympic spirit is alive and vibrant! As the world tunes in to see which country tops the medal tally, 10,500 elite athletes from 206 nations compete on this prestigious stage, showcasing unparalleled talent and dedication. It makes me wonder, How the athletes overcome the following: 1. The mindset to face their opponent, who is already an exceptional talent. 2. The pressure they face as they represent their country. 3. The anxiety level of the Athlete. 4. The courage to embrace failure when Victory is missed in a jiffy. 5. How they bounce back with the same energy after each game. Interestingly, these challenges mirror what we encounter in our professional and personal lives, especially in leadership roles. What can we learn from these extraordinary athletes? which when practiced on a regular basis becomes a habit. Strength - Health and Fitness is a key factor in the journey of achieving any goal Mental Toughness - The ability to remain focused, composed and resilient under pressure Determination - The drive to push through Challenges and setbacks Perseverance - The stubbornness to never give up Passion - Cultivating genuine enthusiasm and dedication to continuous improvement Commitment to Excellence – Striving to perform at one’s best while upholding ethical standards Dedication - Putting in the time and energy required to achieve the goals, even when faced with obstacles Sportsmanship - Demonstrating gracious behavior in both victory and defeat, and recognizing the efforts of others Let’s continue to Cheer the extraordinary Athletes as they showcase their exemplary qualities in achieving their Goal and inspire us to reach new heights in our own journeys. 🌟✨ Breaking Barriers and Soaring High! ✨🌟 In 1968, a remarkable athlete named Dick Fosbury revolutionized the world of high jumping? 🏅🤸♂️ By introducing the now-famous "Fosbury Flop," he not only won the gold medal at the 1968 Olympic Games but also changed the game forever! Fosbury's approach was something entirely new and unusual, but he fearlessly embraced it. Imagine what we could achieve if we dared to be innovative, if we embraced our uniqueness and refused to conform to societal norms. The possibilities are endless! 🌈🌠 So, my friends, let's take a leap of faith and embrace our inner Fosbury. Let's challenge ourselves to think differently, to explore uncharted territories, and to break free from the limitations that hold us back. 💥🔓 Remember, greatness lies beyond the boundaries of conformity. I remember watching this video and being inspired by the amazing story of David Brown, a blind sprinter who had won gold at the 2016 Paralympics. What I have been drawn to in recently seeing the video is how in sync he is with his guide Jerome Avery, and the impact it has on your life to be connected to someone who "running this life with you." 3 Amazing Lessons to be learned from Jerome Avery and David Brown: 1. Surrogate Sight- It's hard to become or develop in ways you've never seen or been exposed to, but there is power in perspective! You don't have to run alone, nor do you have to "see" alone. 2. Progress Requires Pace- If Jerome runs too fast, David stumbles; but if he runs too slow, he will falter as well. Jerome says it's like "we become one runner; we should hit the ground at the same time." Be careful of the people connected to you who simply want to "outrun" you or outperform you, but be equally careful of those who would slow you down! "True purpose partners will match your pace!" 3. Shared Success- Jerome Avery is an international sprinter in his own right, and yet he trains to help David become the best version of himself. Everyone is not in competition with you, some of us simply want to come along side you and do the very best we can to help you "win gold" in whatever you are aspiring to! #peopledevelopment #perspective #vision #success #collaboration #progress #justwintheday

𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 #𝟴 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝟭𝟶𝟶𝗺 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 The men's 100m final was an unforgettable race, marking the closest finish in Olympic history. Noah Lyles of the USA claimed gold with a time of 9.784 seconds, narrowly edging out Jamaica's Kishane Thompson, who finished at 9.789 seconds. The race was so tight that the margin between first and eighth place was incredibly small, with eighth place in 9.91s. This race was a powerful illustration of the incredibly thin line between "success" and "failure." Despite achieving times that would have secured medals in previous Olympics, the athletes from fourth to eighth place missed the podium, demonstrating that even when you perform exceptionally well, sometimes the rewards aren't guaranteed. In business, much like in this race, you can put in your best effort, achieve remarkable results, and still not get the rewards you deserve. It's a harsh reality, but the true test comes in how we react to these outcomes. Do we dwell on the missed opportunities, or do we use these experiences as fuel to drive us forward? The athletes who didn't medal in this historic race still accomplished extraordinary feats. Their journey and performance remain a testament to their hard work, dedication, and resilience. Similarly, in business, even when success isn't immediately visible, the skills and experiences gained can lay the foundation for future victories. We can execute the perfect marketing campaign or create an amazing product and it just doesn't produce the sales you think it should. Luck plays a part. This Olympic final reminds us that success is not just about the end result but also about the perseverance and growth along the way. It's about how we respond to setbacks and continue to strive for excellence, regardless of the outcome. #Olympics #100mFinal #SuccessAndFailure #BusinessLessons #Resilience
