So, picture this: I’ve been in a state of, let’s call it, “extreme relaxation” lately. “Suffering” sounds too dramatic, like a soap opera plot twist. It’s more like I’ve been sleepwalking through life, but without the fun of waking up in random places. Imagine walking into someone’s house and they’re like, “No, no, no! You’re folding the napkins all wrong! It’s swan origami or nothing in this household!” Suddenly, you’re questioning everything you thought you knew about napkin etiquette. It’s like we’re all programmed robots, stuck in our ways, refusing to update our software. “New ways of doing things? Error 404: flexibility not found!” So here’s my advice: Don’t become the human equivalent of an old, creaky door hinge. Shake things up a bit! Look at life from a different angle. Otherwise, you might find yourself as flexible as a garden gnome, and trust me, they’re not known for their yoga skills.

When you get really stressed out, what’s in your break glass in case of emergency box? Mine includes the following: 😤 Breathing ⏳ Taking some time out 💭 Distracting myself with something different ☎️ Speaking to a friend 🎵 Listening to music Last week when I was feeling particularly stressed I did some breathing exercises and then blasted out some heavy metal rock music. But then discovered that wasn’t working as I found the music too distracting so switched to classical music from film scores which did the trick perfectly! It’s important to remember that the same techniques won’t work everytime, so keep a few things in your stress toolkit and with a bit of trial and error, you’ll feel that stress trickling away and a sense of calm returning. What’s your go to when you’re feeling stressed? #5pillarsofvitality #think #breakglassinemergency #stresstoolkit #stressmanagement

Three fresh ways to relax before exams 👇🏻 Need a break from the usual study routine? One way to really help is to actually step away from the studies and focus on you instead. Check out these unique relaxation techniques to help you chill out and ace your exams: Nature... Take a quick stroll outside. As you walk, make up stories about what you see, is that couple on a first date, how long have those trees been growing there, who walked these paths before you? It's a fun break that'll clear your head. Musical Moments... Listen to some instrumental music and let your pen follow the rhythm on a piece of paper. Draw lines, shapes, or whatever comes to mind. It’s not about the art; it’s about letting your mind wander away from the stress. Laugh Out Loud... Watch a short comedy video clip. Laughter can boost your immune system and decrease stress, making it the perfect quick reset before hitting the books again. Try these techniques to keep the stress at bay and head into your exams refreshed and ready. Got any quirky ways you unwind?
