QFR® works, where the wire fails due to complex anatomy by Dr. Samit Shah Last week, we hosted the 3rd presentation of the Medis QFR(R) Academy. This session, guided by the expertise of Dr. Ignacio J Amat Santos and featuring Dr. Samit Shah, takes you through a special case, showcasing the pivotal role of QFR(R)  in navigating complex coronary procedures. The case started in 2020 with a patient facing challenges during angiography and assessing the right coronary artery (RCA). Fast forward to 2023, the patient returned with chest pain. In 2023, Dr. Shah demonstrated a wireless assessment of the RCA using QFR(R) , a breakthrough guiding a PCI procedure through tortuous coronaries where traditional wires fell short. The presentation went further, exploring delta QFR, residual QFR, and other QFR measurements. Attendees gained a clear understanding of how these advanced techniques help clinicians navigate complex anatomical challenges in daily clinical practice.
