But what happens when process collides with potential? I recently came across a story (no details, of course) where a candidate’s documents were flagged during BGV for being forged. Sounds like a clear red flag, right? Well, the twist is that this individual was incredibly skilled. Due to severe financial struggles, they couldn’t afford the education required, yet their work quality was exemplary. As #WorldMentalHealthDay, I’ve been thinking: We set reminders for meetings, deadlines, and even coffee breaks… but what about a reminder for ourselves? 𝑀𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑙 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑡ℎ 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠𝑛’𝑡 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑟𝑒 𝑏𝑖𝑔 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑠—𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑠, 𝑖𝑡'𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑖𝑔𝑔𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑑𝑖𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒. Recently, I’ve realized that taking care of mental health doesn’t have to be overwhelming—it’s all about small, consistent actions that keep us grounded. Here are a few simple things I’ve found that can help improve mental health daily: ✨ 1. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 2-𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒕𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝑹𝒖𝒍𝒆: Feeling overwhelmed? Step away for 2 minutes. Stretch, take deep breaths, or just look out the window. It’s amazing how such a short break can reset your brain! ✨ 2. 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚: Before diving into emails or meetings, take a moment to focus on yourself. Whether it’s meditation, journaling, or even listening to your favorite song—starting your day with something that’s just for you can set a positive tone. ✨ 3. 𝑽𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒄𝒌-𝒊𝒏𝒔: Remote work has isolated many of us. A simple "How are you really doing?" to a colleague can brighten someone’s day and make them feel seen. It's good for both your mental health and theirs! ✨ 4. 𝑫𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒆𝒕𝒐𝒙: After work hours, log off—mentally and digitally. No more doomscrolling! Instead, pick up a hobby, read a book, or spend quality time with loved ones. Disconnecting helps you reconnect with what truly matters. ✨ 5.
