✨ Excited to share the newest addition to our office - our brand-new signs! This project has been a labor of love, and seeing it come to life has been an incredible experience.
From the initial concept to the final installation, I had the opportunity to oversee every step. Creating the logo for our company was a particularly fulfilling part of the journey, allowing me to bring our company's vision to life in a tangible way.

If you were booking a team building event, and you could choose an activity that perfectly summed up your business, your sector or your messaging, what activity would you choose?
We love the chance to tailor our activities and events to suit our clients. One particular activity, Formula R, lends itself particularly well to a theme.
This challenge is all about design. Well, all apart from the rubber band.
We ask teams to set about creating a vehicle which is propelled by a simple elastic band. The trick is to create the best self-propelling structure possible - the furthest along the track wins - and the beauty is, the design can be anything you wish.
Recently we ran this activity for a client in the shipping sector. Yes, you've guessed it, they made ships and we called it Ships Ahoy.

Sometimes the answer’s right under our nose. In this case it was a 40-year old process that we repositioned for these sustainability-conscious times.
After 40 years of significant growth that included acquisitions, Hiway – a leader in Australasian roading infrastructure – felt it appropriate to move away from established local brands and consolidate under a single brand identity.
Our brief was to reposition the company as a cohesive, purpose-driven business, focused on reducing the continent’s carbon footprint while maintaining infrastructure.
We show the optimism of a more sustainable way, standing out in the sector with fresh colour and human-centric typography. The expansive logo gives a sense of stability, while refined details indicate technical precision. New photography seeks out defined shapes in materials and machinery, alongside the blend of intelligence and warmth that characterises the company’s culture.
The new brand signifies a more balanced and carbon-conscious future for our transport networks — sustaining our environment and, in turn, sustaining our communities.

From the beginning stages of working with clients, our team listens to the specific needs, wants, and challenges that will drive our innovative design process for each individual client. With those details in mind, we conduct thorough research and work collaboratively with the client to produce an individualized exhibit worthy of their brand. Our client, Burns & McDonnell’s booth was created with a strong emphasis on the following:
- Brand story + branded architecture
- Company messaging
- Providing a valuable space for interaction
- Varied seating
- Openness within and around the space
- Multiple entrances and exits
- Introducing modernism with the use of sharp lines
- Contemporary fixtures + clean aesthetic
- Cantina/Genius bar + storage
- An overall welcoming presence
Centralizing on these main points, the build was a success. The booth design ultimately shared DistribuTECH 2024’s tone and energy and was a great fit for the space. Here you can see the initial concept > main approach > to the
execution on the show floor. Showing this process is a powerful tool in demonstrating Catalyst’s creative build and the purpose behind the design and the designer's choices.
As a result of the booth's success, we received some positive feedback from the Burns & McDonnell team.

Now, as Herman Miller celebrates its 100th anniversary, the brand is embarking on a journey to modernise its global image while preserving its rich heritage. Retaining the classic red, the brand is enhancing flexibility. The objective is to seamlessly blend the brand's timeless allure with a contemporary feel, ensuring it resonates well in both the online and real-world domains.
This evolution prompts the question: Could this be a forthcoming trend for heritage brands adapting to the challenges of today's digital and physical landscape?
