Corrugator Hot Plate Alignment - Importance I have had a few discussions over the past few weeks with Corrugator Managers about the importance of their Hot Plates being in a good state of alignment, given that the Hot Plate – when poorly aligned – badly profiled, is the biggest cause of board damage and delamination on a Corrugating line. We always carry out a survey of the Hot Plate as part of our package when carrying out a Corrugator survey. In particular, when checking the Hot Plate – we carry out a thorough elevation check on each plate, all relative to each other, with 4 readings taken on each plate – thus giving you a full elevation profile of the entire Double backer / Hot plate section. You can then see the profile in which the belt is being forced to travel, see how many steps etc occur between each plate. In addition, we always offer a cost / proposal to carry out any rectification work which is usually very straightforward and we have done hundreds of them to date over 26 years World Wide. For any further information or to request an example of a Hot Plate report – please do ask.

International sales experience and intercultural competence paired with reliability and determination
The STEINEL glue guide - find the right glue for every application. In the STEINEL range of glue you will find the right glue stick for every application. Whether for temperature-sensitive materials with the LOW Melt glue (130°C) or with the FLEX glue (190°C) which hardens after approx. 80 seconds. This gives you enough time to align the workpiece correctly. The world's first PUR glue as a stick can also be found quickly and easily. The PUR glue is ideal for outdoor applications. Gluing is still underestimated. Bonding is much more time-saving than drilling and screwing. Gluing is much cleaner there is no drilling dust that has to be vacuumed away later. Many glue sticks can be reused over a long period of time and do not dry out. The environment is also protected as the STEINEL packaging is made of cardboard and can be recycled.

GEM Makes Drying and Flaking Easy GEM offers two solutions for processing molten chemicals: flaking and drying. Both utilize a rotating drum to achieve the final product. . 𝗚𝗘𝗠 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 - Creating flakes is easy. There is a thin layer of molten chemicals on the drum. Water sprays inside the drum solidify the chemical, which is continuously scraped off with an adjustable scraper. 𝗚𝗘𝗠 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗗𝗿𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 - It is perfect for producing dry powders. The process uses a rotating drum similar to flakes. The molten chemical is then removed from the drum with steam instead of cold water. Afterwards, the dry material is scraped off. . In the meticulous world of particle size analysis, wet sieving is a cornerstone technique. But like any scientific method, it comes with its own set of rules to ensure accuracy and equipment longevity. Here's a quick guide from our partner, Retsch - Milling and Sieving's experts on the do's and don'ts of wet sieving: Do's: • Prepare the Material: Create a uniform suspension by mixing your sample with water. A few drops of tenside (any of the group of surface‐active compounds widely known as detergents. The name derives from their effects on surface tension.) can help if you're dealing with surface tension issues. • Moisten the Sieves: A little water can go a long way in preventing sample sticking. • Use Venting Rings: These are crucial for fine meshes (smaller than 100 μm) to prevent liquid or sample loss. • Set Correct Parameters: Your sieve shaker has recommended settings for a reason—use them. • Observe the Process: The end of sieving is marked by clear liquid exiting the outlet. • Dry and Weigh Fractions: Post-sieving, ensure your fractions are dried at a controlled temperature before weighing. Don'ts: • Overload the Sieves: Too much sample volume can skew results and damage your sieves. • Neglect Equipment Care: Regular maintenance is non-negotiable for consistent performance. • Rush the Process: Patience is a virtue, especially when waiting for that clear liquid. Adhering to these guidelines will not only improve your sieving results but also extend the life of your equipment. For more detailed instructions and pro tips, dive into Retsch's comprehensive resources on wet sieving à how-to-carry-out-wet-sieving.pdf.
