June is the month of #Pride, a time to celebrate #Diversity, #Equity, #Equality, and #Inclusion. This month commemorates years of struggle for civil rights and the ongoing pursuit of equal justice under the law for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, as well as all marginalized groups striving for recognition and equal rights. These four pillars encompass inclusivity, which is crucial for the progress of our society because it promotes a culture of respect, innovation, and social justice. Inclusivity allows us to benefit from a variety of perspectives and experiences, fostering creativity and enhancing problem-solving. It ensures that everyone has access to the same resources, opportunities, and rights, and regardless of their background, feels valued and can fully participate in all aspects of life, leading to a more cohesive and productive community. As a purpose-led organization, inclusion is part of our everyday work at gMendel®. We strive to positively impact our people and society through our core business and community initiatives. Inclusivity at gMendel® drives our ambition to democratize the diagnosis of genetic disorders and contribute to the development of more treatments available for the many families living with the burden of rare diseases. We collaborate extensively with a wide range of stakeholders, including companies, universities, research institutes, and hospitals, to contribute to integrated healthcare services that transcend social and financial inequalities. #Pridemonth #diversityandinclusion #LGBTQ #NewbornScreening #genetics #genomics #screening #diagnostics #rarediseases #geneticdisorders #healthcare #innovation #healthtech #AI #artificialintelligence #machinelearning #companiondiagnostics #precisionmedicine #VC #venturecapital LGBTQIA+ myGwork - LGBTQ+ Business Community

The Future Is Non-Binary: How Technology and Culture Can Make Health More Human🌟 at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2024. 🎤 🎯 Amanda Ralston, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA Founder, NonBinary Solutions reminds us that: “Healthcare isn’t just black and white; it’s about recognizing the shades of gray in every patient’s life. People on the autism spectrum are six times more likely to not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth. This intersectionality is where we must focus our efforts to truly humanize health.” This panel reinforced the necessity of embracing a more inclusive approach to healthcare, one that aligns with our rapidly changing technological landscape and cultural identities. We hope to continue this important conversation and work towards a future where health truly is for everyone. 🌍 #InfillionAtCannes #CannesLions2024 #HealthTech #Inclusion #ItsNotBinary NonBinary Solutions maker of Knowetic Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Havas Health Network Infillion #ItsNotBinary™️🪩 #startup #tech #socialimpact #autism #neurodiversity #bcba #appliedbehavioranalysis #abatherapy #decisionmaking #decisionsupport #TechForGood #queerfounders #womenfounders #lgbtq #neurodivergent #SaaS #HealthTech #EdTech #cdss #tedtalk #publicspeaker #invitedspeaker #speaker #thoughtleadership #nonbinary #thinking #mememarketing #creative

As #AI becomes integrated into our daily lives, ensuring its true inclusivity will require that training data is unbiased and free from societal prejudices. Discriminatory, stereotypical, or offensive AI outputs perpetuate harmful myths and negatively impact communities. Those developing AI technologies have a responsibility to consciously involve diverse communities in the development process. This is crucial to rigorously mitigate biases and ensure representation at every stage—from data curation to product testing. For instance, current models often struggle with increasing visibility and accurately understanding #LGBTQ+ perspectives. Equitable representation of the LGBTQ+ community is imperative to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and inclusion. Labyrinth Digital advocates for proactive efforts to create empowering AI that serves all members of society equitably. #EthicalAI #FairAI #EqualityForAll #PrideMonth

Dear Women Donors Network Team, I'm Liam, and I'm not just as an admirer of the waves you're creating in the world of #gender, #racial, #economic, and #climate #justice but someone itching to dive right into the action with you. Now, I know what you might be thinking – "Isn't WDN a network of women?" Well...yes. But here's the twist – even though I'm not a woman, I'm a firm believer in breaking barriers and blending boundaries, especially when it comes to championing justice in all its forms. Think of me as a bonus track to an already great album, bringing a unique sound that complements the existing harmony. As a transgender man dedicated to #educating and #advocating for the transgender community and fostering #inclusion and #allyship across various platforms, I've developed a knack for connecting with #diverse groups and igniting conversations that matter. My journey has been one of navigating spaces where my identity is often the elephant in the room, teaching me the art of turning awkward pauses into #opportunities for #education and #growth. What excites me about #WDN is not just the incredible work you do but what drives you – a commitment to solidarity, transformation, and envisioning a world where justice isn't just a big ideal but a lived reality for all. Your bold strategy speaks to me on a personal level, as I too am passionate about investing in #advocacy and strategies that uplift historically excluded communities. So, why me? Well, besides everything shared in my #resume and #CoverLetter (recently submitted to you) I bring a #perspective that's both unique and complementary to your mission. I'm eager to learn from you and, hopefully, contribute to your efforts in transforming people, culture, and systems. Think of me as the cherry on top of an already fabulous sundae – unexpected, but surprisingly tasty! I want to reiterate my genuine excitement at the possibility of joining the WDN family. I'm ready to roll up my sleeves, dive into the deep end, and contribute to our shared vision of a just and sustainable world. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your transformative work and adding a bit of my own flavor to the mix.

Me: what make you think that way ? AI: My response is based on the principles of equality, human rights, and respect for all individuals. Here's why: * Universal human rights: The fundamental idea that all people are born free and equal in dignity and rights is a cornerstone of many legal and ethical frameworks. This includes the right to live without discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. * Diversity and inclusion: A society that values diversity is richer, more creative, and more resilient. Embracing people from all walks of life, including those in the LGBTQ+ community, contributes to a more vibrant and equitable world. * Empathy and understanding: It's important to recognize the experiences of marginalized groups and to work towards creating a world where everyone feels safe, accepted, and valued. * Evidence-based approach: Numerous studies have shown the negative impacts of discrimination and prejudice against LGBTQ+ individuals, including increased rates of mental health issues, homelessness, and violence. Essentially, my response is grounded in the belief that all humans deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Would you like to discuss a specific aspect of this topic further?

Women are not a homogeneous group. People with disabilities are not a homogeneous group. LGBTQ+ community is not homogeneous. ❕No group is monolithic, and no identity exists in isolation. Each individual carries within them a mosaic of intersecting identities that shape their experiences, perspectives, and interactions with the world. It is within this complexity that the true essence of diversity thrives. Intersectionality is context-dependent, meaning it varies based on individual experiences. 📌 To analyze it effectively, DEI Disruptors use the Framework for Understanding Intersectionality and Social Dynamics: 1️⃣ Intersecting Identities ▫️Recognize the complex interplay of diverse identities within individuals. ▫️Understand that identities are not singular or additive but dynamic and context-dependent. ▫️Consider how various identities intersect to create unique social effects. 2️⃣ Who is Missing? ▫️Identify whose voices are present and whose are missing in discussions and interactions. ▫️Actively seek out and amplify marginalized voices to ensure a more inclusive dialogue. 3️⃣ Relational Power ▫️Be aware of and challenge relational power dynamics, including our own privilege and influence. ▫️Recognize that individuals may experience power in one context while facing oppression in another. ▫️Critically examine who holds power, who makes decisions, and how accountability is maintained. 4️⃣ Time and Space ▫️Acknowledge the influence of time and space on social dynamics. ▫️Understand that privilege and disadvantage are fluid and influenced by social positioning and location. ▫️Consider how privilege and discrimination may look different across different locations and generations. By embracing intersectionality strategically, we move beyond simplistic notions of diversity and inclusion to truly appreciate the complexity of human experience. -------------------------------------------------- 📩Get Disruptive Insights for free! #Happy_Coming_Out_Day National Coming Out Day serves as a poignant reminder that living authentically is a fundamental human right. However, for #LGBTQ+ individuals, this journey is often fraught with fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability. #Safe #spaces – in #workplaces, #education, #families, and #society – are crucial for fostering #inclusion, #belonging, and #equity, allowing individuals to shed the weight of secrecy and live #openly with #pride🏳️🌈. Coming out is not just a personal act but a powerful tool for #social change and of course a #political #statement. When individuals feel comfortable sharing their true selves, they break down #stereotypes and #stigmas, #humanize the LGBTQ+ experience, inspire #empathy and understanding, and create ripple effects of #acceptance. This, in turn, promotes psychological well-being and #resilience, enhances #creativity, #productivity, and #innovation, and #encourages diversity of thought and #perspective. #Inclusive #environments are essential for talent retention and attraction, as they provide #equal #access to resources and opportunities. #Equity is key, addressing systemic barriers and biases, celebrating diverse identities and experiences, and empowering #marginalized voices. Empathy plays a vital role, requiring us to listen without judgment, educate ourselves on #LGBTQ+ issues, advocate for inclusive policies, and stand in solidarity with marginalized communities. As we commemorate National Coming Out Day, let us strive to create #safe spaces for #self-expression, foster #inclusive #cultures, advocate for equity and justice, and embody #empathy and #compassion. By doing so, we can build a world where every individual can live openly, authentically, and without fear. A world where #diversity is #celebrated, and everyone can #thrive. Share your #stories, #experiences or #efforts 😍🏳️🌈 let me thank my people around me to stay proud and Queer. #coming out and #proud

I was told I’d only live to 5 years old. Clearly I’m still here 😊 This is thanks to the extraordinary healthcare professionals and carers that have supported me my entire life, and continue to do so as I experience life with SMA. Because their history is interconnected with mine, this year’s #LGBTHistoryMonth feels especially personal. #UnderTheScope is this year’s theme celebrating LGBT+ peoples' contribution to the field of Medicine and Healthcare both historically and today. The intention is to showcase the amazing work of LGBT+ staff across the NHS and in other healthcare settings, in providing healthcare, especially during the pandemic. Healthcare professionals help you in your time of need. Your gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation do not matter to them - not because they’re not important, but because they are treating your body and its needs. You are helped by another human who has messy, complicated, and intersectional life experiences just like you. Here’s how you can show your support for #LGBTHistoryMonth by getting involved in the following: ▪️ "Diversity Includes Everyone" workshop ▪️ “Smarter Thinking, Inclusive Decisions” workshop ▪️ "Help: I am scared of saying the wrong thing!" workshop ▪️ “Inclusion Ignition - getting started with EDI” workshop ▪️ “Inclusive Leadership” workshop ▪️ “Making an impact using The GC Index” - organimetric assessment And if you’d like a guest speaker who can share their experience on intersectionality (on being disabled and a gay man) then I’m happy to do this either in-person or online, just drop me a LinkedIn message. #LGBTplusHM #LGBTQIA #UnderTheScope

Hey LinkedIn fam! 👋 Let's have a real talk about something crucial in the cannabis community, especially here in MA/RI. As an LGBTQ, inclusive community leader, my commitment goes beyond marketing strategies—it's about fostering an environment of respect and safety. 🚀 Inclusivity isn't just a buzzword; it's a promise we make to each other. Recently, I've received screenshots and firsthand accounts that have left me deeply concerned. It's disheartening to learn about instances where personal space is violated, and power is misused to make others uncomfortable. 💔 Creeps and pigs targeting anyone are not welcome in our community. Period. And anyone can be a survivor, as multiple folks from all walks of life have approached me. As a community leader, I take this responsibility seriously. It's not just about my +125 Brand Ambassador group feeling safe; it's about ensuring the future of our industry is built on principles of respect and equality. ✨ Here's the deal: Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, and no position of power should be used to intimidate others. It's time for a cultural shift where we prioritize the well-being of each member of our community. 🌐 Let's open up this conversation. Share your thoughts below on how we can collectively create an industry where everyone feels safe and respected. It's not just about the present; it's about shaping a better future for us all. #InclusiveLeadership #CannabisCommunity #RespectInIndustry #SafeSpaces #LGBTQInclusion #Massachusetts #CannabisIndustry 🌈🤝
