Sorenson Award Winner | STEM MBA graduate at F. W Olin Business School Babson College | Ex- BMW, Mercedes- Benz SL
Only 100 days left until my graduation!! or, as some would call it, the commencement ceremony! As an international student, I've learned the virtues of patience and the importance of enjoying the journey, not just the outcome. As I approach this milestone, I find myself reflecting on the invaluable lessons, challenges overcome, and milestones achieved during my time in school. One of the highlights was a group project for Procter & Gamble, where we tackled real-world problems with innovative solutions. This experience, especially the advice from the founder of Waze, Uri Levine during the Babson Acceleration Club Pitch competition, taught me the value of loving the problem, not the solution. With the commencement ceremony on the horizon, my 100-day plan is more than a countdown; it's a roadmap for skill enrichment, network expansion, and career goal refinement. I've had the privilege of meeting an array of inspiring individuals, from scientists to entrepreneurs, across Boston's diverse collegiate landscape. If you're in the Boston area or a fellow student I haven't met yet, let's connect over coffee. I'm eager to learn from you! As I lay the groundwork for my professional journey post-graduation, I'm committed to making the most of these next 100 days. Your insights and advice would be invaluable. How did you navigate your final days before graduation, or what are your plans before graduation? Let's connect and share our experiences! #commencement #graduation #graduation2024 #babsoncollege #networking #waze #urilevin #boston

This week I am celebrating two years in my role at the Purdue University Daniels School of Business. To say that time has flown by is a huge understatement. I joined the team at a crucial point of growth - both for our organization and school. After I joined six additional team members were hired, graduate recruiting was re-organized into the marcom unit (and grew by three), and our intern program ramped up (employing almost 30 interns at one point). Eight months into my new role we learned the school would be named, a new era would follow and our team was tasked with developing, launching and promoting the new brand. One-year into my role we kicked-off a four-month Marketing Cloud email journey project - completely re-designing our prospect, inquiry, contact, and application email journeys while implementing Salesforce and MC as our new CRM. At the year and half mark I initiated a total redesign of the graduate academic section (Master in Business, Specialty Master's, Online Master's and Non-degree) of the Daniels School website. About three months ago, I developed the GTM strategy and lead our content, design, social, web, and video teams through asset development to launch the new Master of Business and Technology program in unprecedented time. All this to say... throughout the challenges, surprises, pivots, and unknowns I've learned a few things along the way that will significantly impact me moving forward: ⭐ When everything is a priority, nothing is. Taking a moment to step-back and align resources, time, and team to the projects that will have the biggest impact and roll-up into larger goals is critical. ⭐ Direct but empathetic communication is key. Fast-paced projects often don't have room for round about communication when time and accuracy are of the essence. Find your authentic voice in being transparent without loosing your humanity. ⭐ Work will still be there tomorrow. Don't loose site of other aspects of yourself due to the demands at work. Today only lasts so long. Remember to take time to have fun, disconnect, and live in the moment. ⭐ It's not always about the work but the relationships made along the way. I can say for sure all the achievements I listed above would not have been possible without the caring, gracious, trusting teammates who have turned into lifelong friends. ⭐ CELEBRATE YOUR WINS ALONG THE WAY! When you continuously want to check off your to-do list it's so easy to quickly move on without recognizing your progress. Why wait until a major milestone to share what you're proud of? (still working on this one😐). TL:DR - Two years later I worked hard, played hard, reflected, learned, gained confidence, and found a stride that will benefit me long into the future 😊 #growthmindset #personalgrowth #leadershipjourney #marketingpro #marketingleadership #higheredleadership #higheredmarketing

My Associate Program, International Rotational Program, ends today… 546 days, 1 year & 6 months, 10 countries, 3 different departments (Product Management, Solutions Engineering, Sales). But what was the most important part? The uncountable number of distinguished people from SES that I had the pleasure to meet during my Associate Program. I’m thankful for their guidance, patience, and trust. And yes, as fast as a space rocket, it is coming to an end. Being an Associate at SES turned me into a professional who’s ready to dig deeper into the Satellite Industry. I feel grateful, accomplished, and fully realized for all the choices, learnings, and experiences that I have had here as an Associate. Coming from where I came, a small, tiny city in Brazil, dreams could be distant... But as I said before, this didn’t define where I could reach, but rather, my eagerness, my ambition, and my hard work could define where I could be in the future. Today marks the closing of one chapter and the opening of another at SES, the same company that embraced me and believed in my potential. DJ as Commercial Associate says bye, but DJ as Senior Sales Specialist says hi! :) Can't not wait to what is coming next! #SESSatellites #SatelliteIndustry #Sales #O3bmPower

💡 Building Connections for Growth 💡 As I transition from college to corporate life, one thing has become increasingly clear to me—connections are key! Throughout my college years, I’ve built relationships with seniors, friends, and peers, but now it’s about connecting with people who help us understand and navigate the real industry. 🌟 One of the best opportunities I’ve had recently to gain these insights was through Pre Placement Talks (PPTs) during campus placements. These sessions have been incredibly insightful, giving me a window into the inner workings of top companies and how to approach challenges in a real-world context. Here are a few gems I’ve picked up from these talks: 🔹Meesho’s principle of problem-solving changed my perspective! Instead of rushing to a solution, they emphasized focusing on fully understanding the problem first. This mindset shift is a game-changer. 🔹Quantiphi's PPT introduced me to the concept of the "Unicorn"—a professional who bridges business, analytics, and technical expertise. It gave me a whole new appreciation for multidisciplinary skill sets! 🔹PlaySimple Games shared real-world industry analytical problems, breaking down approaches to solve them, which helped me better understand the power of data-driven decision-making. 🔹 Today, Addverb's PPT , I even learned about the Bullwhip Effect in supply chains. Each talk brings something new! But beyond the concepts, these PPTs offer something equally valuable—the chance to connect with industry leaders, learn from their experiences, and gain insights that help us navigate and grow in the industry. #CampusPlacements #IndustryLearning #Networking #PrePlacementTalks #CareerGrowth #ContinuousLearning

Happy July! I am excited about the new month and the second half of the year. I kicked off the month by conducting the inaugural new hire employee orientation that I designed for my department and the feedback was terrific. I have worked in various industries and held many roles, and what I have learned is the importance of building a strong network, knowledge exchange, valuing and appreciating diversity, and never stop learning. I would advise anyone joining a new organization or team to get to know your colleagues and this should expand beyond your team. Share your background and experience and take the initiative to introduce new ideas, projects, or programs. I am looking forward to kicking off a robust and exciting training program for my department and working on a major project that is one of our strategic goals. I created the calendar, the agenda, and secured the guest speakers. Celebrate all of your wins, every milestone is a win. It’s important that we clap for ourselves. Create a journal, write down your goals, and share them with people who can help you achieve them. Wishing you all an exciting, productive and successful new month. #newmonth #positivemindset #celebratewins #runyourownrace #neverstoplearning

I finished my marketing apprenticeship in 2022, and I found it so daunting to know where to start. With all the different roles, specialisms, and even businesses out there that all market differently - I just kept asking ‘where the hell am I going to fit into all this?’ Fast forward to now, I’ve been in my current role at Axon Garside | HubSpot Diamond Partner for 14 months and despite what younger me was thinking - it's all turned out okay. But if I could go back a couple of years and give my younger self some advice, it’d be this: 1. Trust your gut. Being uncomfortable is part of life, you have to face tough times head on and work hard to get to where you’re aiming for. But being unhappy is different. If a role, industry, company or city doesn’t feel like the right fit for you, it’s okay to change your mind. Think carefully, plan your next steps, and go for what feels right. 2. Make your voice heard even if you're scared. Just because you’re young, it doesn’t mean your ideas and opinions are less important. Speak up and offer your thoughts - asking questions will get you places, blending into the background won’t. 3. Take pride in your work. This one might sound obvious at first, but I mean take pride in every sense. Every task you complete has your name on it, whether it’s a quick email to a client or a blog series that you’ve poured hours into. Treating everything you do with the same amount of respect and dedication not only makes the work you complete a much higher standard, but it makes every day more enjoyable. #girlsinmarketing #girlseducation #digitalmarketing #GenZ #newmarketers #youngmarketers #creativity #personaldevelopment
