Featured snippets are concise, highlighted answers that appear at the top of search engine results pages. Their purpose is to provide users with immediate answers to their queries without requiring them to click through to a specific website. Featured snippets can significantly boost your content’s visibility and drive organic traffic. After all, users want to make sure they are going to a relevant and credible website before clicking on it. You can optimize your content for featured snippets by answering frequently asked questions succinctly and structuring your content to directly answer these questions, such as using numbered lists, bullet points, or tables. Aim for a word count of around 40–60 words for snippet-worthy answers and include the question itself as a subheading followed by the answer, if possible. There are several types of featured snippets you can use on your site.
