🌟 Embracing the Journey: My GATE CSE Success Story 🌟 I am thrilled to share a significant milestone in my professional journey through this, my first LinkedIn post. 📚 The Beginning: My journey started in the final year of my BTech degree when I decided to prepare for the #GATE_CSE exam. The initial preparation seemed daunting. However, with unwavering guidance and motivation from #RBR Sir GATE Lectures, support from friends and family, I embraced the challenge head-on. 💪 The Grind: The journey was filled with countless sleepless nights, intense study sessions, and moments of self-doubt. But perseverance paid off as I cracked GATE CSE not just once, but thrice—in 2020, 2021, and 2022. 🚀 Game Changers: #RBR sir GATE Video lectures, #MadeEasy and GO Classes Test series and the GO Classes explanations for any problem were absolute #GameChanger in my preparation. These resources provided the edge I needed to excel and stay ahead in my journey. 🎓 Dream Realized: In 2022, my hard work culminated in a dream come true moment when I joined NIT Trichy. This opportunity was not just about academic growth; it was a transformative experience that shaped my personality and professional aspirations. 🌱 Growth and Gratitude: NIT Trichy has been instrumental in my journey, offering invaluable lessons that extend beyond the classroom. The institution provided an environment for holistic growth and incredible placement opportunities, even in challenging market conditions. 🚀 Looking Ahead: As I move forward, I am deeply grateful for the support and opportunities that have come my way. A Journey of Perseverance: Celebrating Our Collective Success in GATE CS This week, I am thrilled to share not just a personal achievement but a collective victory alongside six remarkable individuals from Bengal. Over the past year, I've had time to reflect on our journeys. Despite our varied backgrounds and the unique challenges, we were united by one goal: excelling in the GATE CS examination. Despite our varied backgrounds, we faced distinct challenges on our paths. One of us traded a comfortable work-from-home private sector job for the rigorous academic environment of an esteemed college. At the same time, another left a high-paying public sector job to pursue this dream. For one, getting into IIT Bombay was the only goal, overshadowing all other ambitions. At the same time, another battled severe health issues throughout the preparation period. Financial constraints held one back, and another faced significant family pressures. Yet, our determination never wavered. Attached is a photo from our celebration—each slice of the cake proudly displays our ranks, ranging from 52 to 405, symbolizing the sweetness of our shared success. Whether it was aiming for IITB or making significant career changes, our journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the strength found in solidarity. Let's celebrate this milestone not just as an academic achievement but as a testament to what can be accomplished when you turn every hardship into a stepping stone towards success. 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐮𝐩 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 1! I managed to achieve a global rank of 2302 and an All India Rank (AIR) of 527 out of 22,495 participants. This journey has been one of the most exciting I've ever experienced, filled with valuable lessons, particularly in handling large test cases and managing time under pressure. I even came up with an approach for the first problem but, unfortunately, couldn't submit it within the critical 6-minute window. While validating the input file, my VS Code crashed, causing some unexpected delays. After increasing the stack space on my device, I managed to submit the last two problems successfully within the remaining time, and I was happy to see both submissions were correct. Despite the challenges, participating in this contest was an incredible learning experience. Working from 10:30 pm to 1:30 am, it was a real test of persistence, focus, and problem-solving under pressure. Overall, I'm grateful for the opportunity to compete, learn, and grow through this contest. Looking forward to more such challenges and refining my skills even further! #MetaHackerCup #CodingCompetitions #LearningJourney #ProblemSolving #CodingChallenge

Enjoyed my chat with the Antler India Residency fellows yday. I spoke about product-market fit, and how founders just getting started should think abt it. Great questions, high energy in the room. Topics we covered - Pick the problem space well. Dont hesitate to spend a long time here. You are going to spend years here, and the pick is what largely determines your success / failure. - Get to PPF (product to problem fit) first, where you know your product / solution solves the problems of your persona - Then get to MMF or (GTM) Motion to Market Fit, where you can build a scalable, unit econ +ve, customer acquisition engine, with high retention - PPF + MMF = PMF; When you hit PMF you now have a scalable GTM motion enabling repeatable, predictable, unit positive acquisition of customers with high retention. Phew! - The term PMF is the abstraction layer that the VCs have slapped on Growth with strong unit econ and high retention. If you get GRUE (Growth w Retention and good Unit Econ) you have PMF effectively. - PMF is not one and done, it is a grind, and is a continuum of soft to hard PMF. PMF is easier for B2B (logic) over B2C (magic), etc. I really enjoyed doing this with the Antler India folks. Thanks Nandini Vishwanath for inviting me, and thanks Divita Aggarwal for the help!

Many students in India would have received their 12th-grade results over the past week. I remember receiving mine way back in 2016 and clearly remember the signs of nervousness, anxiety and societal pressure that loomed over me. Additionally, students tend to get pigeonholed into one of the three categories: → 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 - Above 95% → 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 - Above 90% → 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 - Below 90% Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately, I came under the third division of categories and faced self-doubt countless times. This self-doubt only occurred because of unnecessary societal talk and know-it-all guidance that most people seem to think they have. 👏🏻 Firstly, if you have recently finished your 12th board examinations, I want to congratulate you on your effort and hard work. 🎧 Secondly, getting rid of the outside noises of comparison and, more often than not, envy is not easy. In these circumstances, I recommend that you ask yourself these questions: → What is it that interests me? → What are my options based on the cards I have? → To whom should I reach out for in-depth knowledge of my pursuit? ❤️ Thirdly, take a chance on the road less travelled. By this, I mean genuinely following pursuits like hackathons, LeetCode, or Kaggle challenges to become a master of your domain. Having been in your situation as a teenager, I know insufficient support can be challenging. Seeing your friends post about their marks and share their achievements can instil a feeling of envy, which you hide behind your smile. I ask that you take a step back, reflect and charge ahead with intention. #linkedinlearning #growthmindset #isc #boardresults #india #grades
