Day18-24✔ This week has been great because I took a step to learn full stack development along with DSA. I have been in dialoma all these days whether I should start or not. Coz I was always clueless about what to learn since so many tech stacks are becoming popular.I realized that you can learn any trending technology but one thing is important is that you have to be excel in what you learn. So atlast I started with learning basic html from w3schools.com. I completed until HTML Media topic for basic understanding. The reason I stopped until that topic is I don't want to fall into that loop of learning html, css and js for months. Today I started off with learning css, learned few topics and yet to learn more. But I am enjoying the process. I am in the process of figuring out what fascinates me and what not. #html #100daysofcodingchallenge #fullstackdevelopment #w3schools #css

Hello connections, I am so excited to tell about the completion Google's 'Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking' course by me on Coursera. This was a six module course teaching about the TCP-IP 5 layer model in details for the first three modules. In other half of the modules I learnt about critical networking services, different type of internet connections and fixing & detecting errors, respectively in very detail. The instructors made the topics feel easy and the teaching was very clear. They told their stories and some jokes too in between to make it engaging. The tests were also challenging and interesting at the same time, especially the interactive ones. I had to try some them twice or even thrice to score full. The course is very good for anyone who wish to learn 'the bits and bytes of computer networking'. 😂 After this course I understand a lot things more deeply now. The intricacies of Wi-Fi, LAN of my University. I now understand what the 'localhost' and the port I assigned during web development actually mean. And the Wi-Fi access points are not 'Routers', as I used to call them. Also how connecting to a VPN changes my location through tunneling. I am now ready to use this knowledge to make better applications, troubleshoot many errors on my own and overall be the best Software Engineer I can become. Will be sharing further progress with you all. Thank You for you attention and patience. #Cousera #ComputerNetworking #Google #ProffesionalDevelopment #CountinousLearning

Final thought on the draft COPPA rulemaking. Today's topic is notice relating to the school authorization exception, which they propose to make mandatory for operators to post on their sites. I appreciate that they're trying to not put a burden on schools, but this requirement--for operators ONLY to provide notice of school authorization exceptions--creates an unrealistic burden on parents and concerned students. Here's what I mean: if the school has no obligation to provide a list of all the technology that it's provided a school authorization for [and a single repository for all the new mandatory agreements], then the parent/student needs to (1) figure out all the tech that a school is using [which is much harder than it should be], and (2) go to each of those product sites and find the notice for their child's school, read the notice, agreement (?) etc. Oof. Hope I've misunderstood/misinterpreted this. And to be clear, the notice requirement for operators is excellent, so what I'm advocating for here is more like "belt and suspenders", to facilitate greater usability by parents and students. One thing was clear from our benchmark research, schools need more funding, support and guidance to effectively manage their tech vetting, selection and management/oversight. Managing and publishing a list of all the services that they've provided a school authorization exception to should be a by-product of their day to day IT processes, not a burden. (Access 4 Learning Community's SDPC tools/platform nicely supports this, and there are others.)
