Last week Crossfit Variance Plus hosted its second "CrossFit & Networking" Event, which will be held on the first Thursday of every month. The two installments to date have been huge hits! What is it? - ~45 minute CrossFit class, tailored for ALL ability levels - A short elevator pitch by the event sponsor - 1 Hour of networking with light refreshments provided by event sponsor Takeaways: Typically after a workout at CFV+, people will chat about how challenging the workout was, or how fast they went, how much weight they lifted etc., or they will just quickly pack their bag, fill their water, and scoot out the door. What has been great to see at these networking events is that people are genuinely connecting with one another, asking what they do outside of the gym and even exchanging contact information to continue the conversations. CFV+ has many members who are entrepreneurs, self employed, tradesmen, salesmen, and others who are actively #hiring or #jobhunting. This is a great opportunity for all of these folks to connect with one another and learn how to leverage the gym #community to attract business, get referrals and help one another out! Further, this is a great chance for new individuals to try out CrossFit for the first time, or travel to the gym for a monthly event. It brings in new faces, creates introductions and benefits both the gym members and those who are "dropping in."
