And if you have 0 lines at rest, then it's too early to do preventative neurotoxin. Hi, everybody. It's Doctor Calkin. We got this question on our social media feed, and I wanted to respond to it honestly. Concerned about young women in their 20s doing preventative Botox, what will they look like when they are 4050, sixty 7080 if they keep doing it for so many years? When we discuss preventative Botox, I'm going to talk about neurotoxins because there's so many products now available to prevent and treat wrinkling taxify. We've got giveaways, we've got Zoom and we have Disport and we have Botox. And so I'm going to use the word neurotoxin. Preventative neurotoxin makes sense if you think about it. These products are used for what we call lines of facial expressions. So when we frown or smile and our face crinkles, that causes lines with the repetitive motion. And so if you start using neurotoxin prior to those lines getting etched in, then yes, it's preventative and you'll never see lines. However, I do think that people can start too early. So I've had young women in their 20s. And with no lines at all, and they ask about doing preventative neurotoxin. And if you have 0 lines at rest, then it's too early to do preventative neurotoxin. But when you do start to see a small line at rest, when you're no longer crinkling your face, then that's absolutely the best time to do it. And whether you're 25 or 35, that's preventative neurotoxin.

I'd like to add some thoughts to further the discussion: 1/Most pressing issues in dermatology today: 1-1/ Access: I fully agree with your analysis. The lack of adequate care is detrimental; approximately 70% of dermatology patients suffering from skin diseases do not have access to care. While cosmetic dermatology is elective, access issues are even more pronounced, with about 90% facing barriers. 1-2/ Misinformation: This is a significant problem both for dermatology as a specialty, for dermatologists, and the entire industry. 2/ Artificial intelligence and digital transformation: These technologies have the potential to address the two issues mentioned above. A critical challenge will be the quality of datasets that our industry (#dermatology, #aesthetics, #skincare) can develop. If we don't take action, Web2 and tech players will step in and disrupt it. This is the space that the Skin & Digital Summit is shaping. #skindigitalsummit
