Some industry news that deserves shouting about: LumApps has joined forces with Private Equity firm Bridgepoint in a deal worth $650million 👏 The deal completed just last week, seeing a huge amount of money ploughed into one of the stronger #EmployeeExperience vendors. This is good news for LumApps customers and for the industry as a whole - as it's great that it keeps organisations' options open when choosing new #DigitalWorkplace tech. According to the announcement, the funds will be used for R&D, growth & expansion, and potentially new mergers & acquisitions. LumApps certainly has some interesting features in the mix already (including microlearning, video hosting, 'Journeys', digital assistant, #AI features, and more), so I'm really looking forward to seeing what the future holds 👀 https://lnkd.in/e-nBm4-q

The latest data on private equity exits presents a challenging picture for the technology sector. PE-backed tech exits fell -47% in 2023, more than any other sector. And while tech remains the largest sector for private equity buyouts at the moment, those too fell -33% last year. It suggests that there is very little deal activity for mature tech companies, which is forcing executives and operating partners to face several realizations which we discuss in our latest research note.
