Argonaut Paraplanning * award-winning outsourced paraplanning * working with care and integrity * collaborating with directly authorised IFAs * passionate about plain English
Are you a Senior Paraplanning looking for your next career move? We're hiring! This is a home based role with a very competitive salary and loads of additional benefits.... You’ll need to have very strong writing and maths skills. We pride ourselves on the consistent high quality of our work and you’ll need to have the same attitude. It goes without saying we need you to have great technical skills and we do ask that you have a Diploma or higher level of qualification. If you don’t, we won’t rule you out but you’ll need to demonstrate that you have the high level of knowledge and experience to be able to perform at a senior level. We all work remotely and there’s no office working. This means you need to have a suitable workspace at home. We have daily meetings and talk to each other frequently during the day, so you’re not alone, but you’ll need to be comfortable with this approach. We’re open to full-time and part-time applications. Our core requirements are: 🔸 You have at least 5 years’ paraplanning experience. 🔸You’re at least diploma qualified and you’re actively aiming higher. You soak up new information like a sponge and love to learn. 🔸You enjoy digging into the details of a case and have a frankly astounding eye for accuracy. 🔸You’re a grammar pedant, maybe a bit of a geek, and what’s more, you’re proud of it. 🔸You’re great at explaining technical things in succinct and simple terms. 🔸You’re adaptable and can work in different ways depending on the requirements of different advisers. 🔸You like working from home and are comfortable being part of a small but very supportive team. 🔸You view problem solving as a challenge, not a chore. 🔸Integrity is very important to you and you don’t compromise your principles. 🔸You’re happy getting stuck into case checking / quality control. We’re conscious that there are lots of outsourced paraplanning firms, and you’re probably spoilt for choice. We want to offer a really good package, so we get and keep the best people! The salary really depends on your level of experience and qualifications – essentially, the more value you bring, the more we can pay. We offer all of the following: 🔸Starting salary c. £40,000+ Bonus (Profit Share) - OTE c. £50,000. 🔸Life insurance. 🔸Income protection. 🔸Private medical cover. 🔸Opportunities for team leader or management responsibilities. 🔸Flexible working. 🔸Working from home allowance. 🔸5% employer pension contributions. 🔸25 days holiday + the working days between Christmas and New Year + bank holidays. 🔸Exam fees, course fees and study days. 🔸Daily meetings, a laugh and something technical – ongoing learning and improvement as a team. To apply, please send your CV to info@argonautpp.com, along with covering letter explaining why you feel you’re the right person for this role. #paraplanner #paraplanning #financialplanning

Great post on the benefits of #contracting - it's not for everyone but there are certainly some positives to it! #cplgalway #techjobs #techrecruitment #techcontracting #itcontracting
A common question we get here at Fenero | Contracting & Personal Tax Solutions from first time contractors is; what are the benefits of contracting compared to my permanent position? 🤷♂️ I’ve created a quick guide to the top 4 benefits and how they can have an impact on both your career and your personal life. 💡 ⭕ Generous Pay & High Demand As contract roles require highly skilled individuals, your pay reflects this which is why we see contractors being offered significantly more pay than their permanent equivalents. 💰 There is such high demand for contract workers based on the skill sets and knowledge they have as these individuals have the ability to hit the ground running and have a high impact on the business. 🖥 ⭕ Greater Choice Variety and flexibility are two of the main differences between contractors and regular employees. As a contractor you will gain experience quickly and have the opportunity to take part in exciting projects. 💼 ⭕ Opportunity to Rebalance Contracting is a great way to take back your freedom. Freedom to choose where you work, freedom over the annual leave you take and freedom to determine your work/life balance. ⚖ You also have the opportunity to lean away from any office politics which is favorable to those who prefer to simply go to work, to work! 💻 ⭕ New Skills Working in different companies allows contractors to gain exposure to a multitude of operating systems & technologies. This works fantastically for those who can comfortably adapt to new methods of working and will stand to them as you would come across as more appealing to prospective employers when the time comes to find a new contract or permanent role. 🙋♀️ 🙋♂️ 🗃 If you are interested in hearing more about the world of contracting, please reach out to me at lorna.mcguinness@fenero.ie 📧

A contractor looked a bit sideways at all these agencies hiring stunning locations to have a works bash. All dressed to the nines with cameramen and fun and frolics all night long. Some pulling up in hire cars leased for the night..Aston, Rangers, Limos of all kinds and food and drink that he could only assume was all gratis. How could this be, strange as he chuckled that this was a weird way for such small companies to spend so much of there disposable cash. He then turns on LinkedIn keen on searching for something, anything to better himself and his families life but after 5 mins of seeing agency after agency paying substandard money and expect you even work away for it. "No that's single (poor) rate for all hours" or "No digs it's all in the (poor) rate, "I can't do anything about it the client sets the (poor) rate". I could on and on but the contractor has a thought for a fleeting second that all our money is chipped away at and paying for these lavish parties and days out..but they wouldn't do that to us, Would they? Just taking an extra 1 pound per man may not mean a lot for but for some men out there it's a big deal and that's how fragile the whole trade has become..its teetering. so if u do slink an extra 1 pound of each man and conservatively say you have around 300 men out on various contracts is an extra 300 pph x 5 days x 8 hours min at 12,000= a week on top of your already percentage. Seems to equal party-time!! 300 Is just a conservative number as is the 1 pound and could be less but could be so much more. Just have a think

Becoming an independent contractor in Canada offers the freedom to control your career and work with multiple clients. Whether you're a truck driver, IT technician, or electrician, forming an independent contract company opens up new professional opportunities. There are a good number of reasons for working as an independent contract: You will be in a position to decide on the type of projects to undertake, when to work on them, and your working hours. Since you are eliminating the middleman, you have better leverage with clients for higher rates. The opportunities are diverse in that you can work with many clients from different industries, enabling you to diversify your income sources. Business Growth: Being your own boss, you can grow your business by eventually hiring other people, and you can branch into several locations without any limitations. https://lnkd.in/gQnNsFTp #startup #incorporateinontario #businessincanada #contractor
