The #ConnectorProgram fits very well within #Organizations that promote or engage in #workforcedevelopment. The Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission is one such organization. Krista Mallory, Manager at the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission talks about why they have a #Connector Program in our new #CommunityImpact blog: "The Connector program is also something #tangible we can do to see results in workforce development. LATEST BLOG: Good Relations: Northern Ireland businesses have ‘skin in the game’ Our Managing Director, Kieran Harding shares his thoughts on Good Relations. "In Northern Ireland, employers are striving to be responsible businesses for their #people, the #planet and the #places in which they operate. That’s because their leaders live here, were born here, their kids go to school here, and they have invariably lived through challenging times in our recent history. They have 'skin in the game'. "When it comes to Good Relations, we get it. We understand that building peace and social cohesion brings economic benefits, as it stimulates growth and investment. We understand the need for Good Relations and the need to address it, however, many are reluctant to openly discuss it or encourage dialogue on the issue as it is challenging." Network of the week: Fito Network 🧩, big thank you to Louisa Mammeri for this suggestion! What it is: Fito (“fee-toh”), from the Sesotho language in Southern Africa, means “joining diverse pieces to make one powerful effort”. The Fito Network 🧩 is a diverse coalition of network leaders, facilitators and funders for collective change. Why it works: They focus on providing both light touch and deeper engagements, so that the network remains accessible. They also provide tangible value to members including: high quality resources, a jobs board and opportunities for connection. Extra credit: They have an article detailing everything they did wrong in 2023 and how they are going to fix it. Love this transparency.
