Film Friday - This is my speed editor by DaVinci Resolve. If you use DaVinci, I consider it a must-have. However, today’s focus is not on the editing tool, but on how Blackmagic Design changed the game. I began my storytelling journey with a Canon T3i. In 2012, Blackmagic made a significant impact with a uniquely shaped camera that offered 2.5K raw footage and 13 stops of dynamic range. I still have that camera. Blackmagic transformed the landscape for indie filmmakers by providing cinema-quality features at an affordable price. They recognized a major shift in the filmmaking market, and this became their hallmark.
