This article brought to attention an important intersection between nonprofit advocacy and land ownership rights, a glaring issue that greatly affects Black and Indigenous communities in rural areas. The organizations looking to support positive outcomes in this field do so by providing resources to those who need them for direct material support and also broader community empowerment. Black Farmer Fund, for example, was a $1 million pilot fund that attracted over fifty applications and following that process later invested in eight farm and food businesses. These funds are irreplaceable tools that need to be further expanded upon and supported to help out the communities who need their support the most. #Finance #Nonprofit #Leadership #Justice

Cannabis trailblazer | Author | Caretaker | Entrepreneur | Advocating for underserved BIPOC communities
This is what a food, healthcare, and educational apartheid zone looks like in middle America. Our nonprofit owns this 2.5-acre lot of cement that we've been trying to get resources for to create something special for the community but we need state, community, and city officials to support. Unfortunately, as a small nonprofit paying the water bill can be challenging but this is the reality not only for our community but many others throughout our region and our country. We have many ideas but need to fund GEO Non Profit . We're seeking private investors interested in partnership opportunities to improve our communities. #environmentaljustice #environment #ohio #socialjustice #fooddesert #economicjustice #economicrecovery #economicdevelopment #wealthgrowth

NEW CONTENT 💫 💥 The Social Impact of Family Businesses 💥 Family businesses have a long history of caring for communities and springing into action when there is a threat to the well-being of others. Without question, the spirit of giving is essential when disaster strikes, but so are rapid, critical responses that provide life-saving resources, humanitarian relief, and hope to those affected by natural or artificial catastrophic events. 🌎 From COVID-related disruptions and the adverse impacts of climate change on the world’s most vulnerable to regional conflicts displacing millions, the need for social assistance has never been higher.
