The stirring campaign celebrates resilience, determination, and the power to overcome, as Biles returns to the mat stronger than ever. It’s a reminder that true champions aren’t defined by setbacks but by the strength to rise again. Elevating brand storytelling to Olympic levels? We’re here for it. 🏅

As the Paris 2024 Olympic Games officially get underway, brands are also setting themselves up to compete! However, Ogilvy’s recent article takes a look at this year’s shift toward a healthier and authentic advertising approach. It’s great to see: - A strong focus on Mental Health and Wellness: The Olympics authentically showcase the athletes’ journey, emphasising mental well-being, with brands showing active support for the athlete’s mental health. - Inclusion of Smaller Brands: Unlike previous years, smaller and midmarket advertisers have found a place in the games. This allows diverse campaigns to shine. - Athletes are being placed Front and Centre: Advertisers are happy to be in the background, with several Olympic campaigns promoting the athletes themselves. #olympics2024 #authenticstorytelling

The Olympics just finished, but have you ever wondered how Olympic sports announcers keep us on the edge of our seats? 🏅 During Week 8 of the #SpeechCraft program, participants explored ways to enhance vocal variety. Katie Pintar delivered an unforgettable speech, inspired by none other than Olympic sports announcers. Katie's speech was a masterclass in vocal variety, and I had to ask her how she prepared. 💡 Tip of the Week 💡 Katie's advice? Channel your inner sports announcer. When it comes to vocal variety, these enthusiastic, energetic, and emotional voices make you feel like you're right in the middle of a stadium. They can make you empathize with a huge loss or missed opportunity. In the middle of her speech, Katie described a race. She started slow and calm with a somber tone. Then, she picked up her pace and pitch, building excitement until, by the end, I was on the edge of my seat, fully engaged. Go, go, go! 🏃♀️🏃♂️ I asked her how she effectively increased the energy, pace, and excitement in her voice. Her secret? She visualized the track as she told her story. As her speech progressed, she imagined the runners getting closer and closer to the finish line where the big climax happened. This helped her stay on track with where she was in her speech (pun intended). Next time you're watching a sports event, just tell yourself you're preparing for your next big speech! You can learn from surprising places 🎤🎙️ #publicspeaking #continuousimprovement #toastmasters

The Power of Emotion in Marketing: P&G’s ‘Thank You, Mom’ 💪❤️ P&G’s “Thank You, Mom” campaign hit a new high with the ad "Strong" during the Rio Olympics. It's a marketing masterpiece: 1. Deep Emotional Connection: The ad celebrates the unseen strength of Olympic moms—something every parent can relate to. P&G tapped into universal emotions of love, sacrifice, and pride, making the brand feel more like a trusted friend than a product. 2. Purpose-Driven Messaging: By focusing on the dedication of mothers who raise Olympic athletes, P&G aligned itself with values of resilience, empowerment, and care—qualities that resonate deeply with families everywhere. 3. Storytelling That Sticks: This wasn’t just about the Olympics; it was about the journey, the sacrifice, and the unspoken bond between mother and child. The emotional story made the brand feel truly human, not just corporate. 4. A Campaign That Went Viral: "Strong" was more than a commercial; it became a conversation. People shared it, talked about it, and even teared up. P&G didn’t just create an ad; they created a moment that lasted beyond the screen. This campaign showed us that when marketing speaks to the heart, it does more than sell a product—it creates memories and connects people. 👏💖 #MarketingThatMatters #EmotionalBranding #ThankYouMom #Marketer #Marketingpro https://lnkd.in/dpE74R_C

The Strength of Love: Celebrating Unseen Heroes ❤️ In a recent session of our Integrated Marketing Management course, we watched a deeply moving commercial that left a lasting impression on me. 📺✨ Here is the link- https://lnkd.in/gVVdfxuW Procter & Gamble's "Thank You, Mom" campaign, specifically the "Strong" ad for the Rio 2016 Olympics, beautifully highlights the unwavering strength and support of mothers as they help their children overcome obstacles on their journey to becoming Olympic champions. 🏅👩👧👦 The commercial portrays the silent, powerful role mothers play, from comforting their children after a fall to encouraging them to face their fears and persevere. 💪🌟 This narrative resonates profoundly with the idea that true strength is often found behind the scenes, in the love and support that mothers provide every day. 🌸 The tagline, "It takes someone strong to make someone strong. Thank you, Mom," underscores the campaign's message, celebrating mothers as the unseen heroes who shape future champions. 🏆👸 Reflecting on this commercial, I am reminded of the significant impact of recognizing and appreciating the everyday acts of strength and kindness that often go unnoticed. 💖 As we explore more about the power of marketing to inspire and connect, I am eager to apply these insights in my future projects, ensuring that our campaigns not only sell products but also tell meaningful stories that resonate with people's lives. 🌍💬 PS: If you’ve encountered any other impactful commercials, please share them in the comments! I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. 💬 #ThankYouMom #MarketingInspiration #StrengthInLove #UnseenHeroes #MKTG5519
