Last year, we extended our training to practitioners in 12 states beyond New York and California. This week, Dr. Alan-Michael Graves, our Senior Director of Teaching and Capacity Building, led a training in Oklahoma City focused on building fatherhood capacity at an Oklahoma statewide training for over 1000 human services professionals, contractors, community-based organizations, and partners. The Good+ Training Academy provides training, technical assistance, and resource linkages to transform social service systems that have been identified as obstacles to a father-inclusive approach to helping families thrive. #fatherhood #capacitybuilding #socialservices #trainingacademy

Good+ regularly collaborates with corporate partners on social impact programs that create meaningful change for families. For the past 5 years we have worked with fashion retailer, Nordstrom, one of our leading corporate supporters on a comprehensive 360 program that included financial and product contributions, employee volunteer sessions, and event activations in New York and Los Angeles. World Mental Health Day is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. We understand that there is a strong connection between poverty and mental health, and the two can create a cycle that's difficult to break. With systems change as a primary goal, the Good+ Training Academy provides technical assistance and education to social workers, home visitors, and other frontline workers. Between 2019 - to present, we have trained 28,055 social service professionals with workshops ranging from father engagement and addressing implicit bias in child welfare to kinship care and mental health support. #training #trainingacademy #technicalassistance

We are thrilled to report that our End Diaper Need Awareness campaign generated over $9,000 in donations and 233 individuals have requested shipping labels to mail in diapers as a part of The Coterie Diaper Share program, on top of the $50,000 in diapers generously donated by Coterie! Diaper Need Awareness Week is an important time to highlight diaper insecurity as a glaring symptom of poverty in our country, but it doesn’t end there for us. All year round we're providing diapers to our families, raising public awareness about diaper insecurity and advocating at the state level for diapers to be recognized as an essential item.
