🙌Career Camp Session B, Day 7 was bursting with inspiration, employment education, and job exploration! 🔷Our career campers delved into various topics, giving them valuable insights into different kinds of jobs, potential career paths, and the realities of working life. They expanded their vocabulary and learned keywords related to each job, equipping them with the skills needed for future success. 🔷A highlight of the day was the engaging self-advocacy communication activity, where they played "The Bean Game: Living on a 20-Bean Salary." This game taught them how to manage their “income” based on life circumstances, values, and goals. Campers learned essential skills such as budgeting, paying yourself first, money tracking, and distinguishing between wants and needs. 🔷Throughout the day, they practiced their conversational skills while working snack cart sales and mastered their technical skills through custodian duties. In the classroom, they participated in interactive activities, supporting and encouraging each other every step of the way. We are incredibly proud of all they have learned and accomplished so far, and we can't wait to see what they'll achieve next!
