We recently held a focus group in NYC while we were there for our live career fair! In the coming weeks, we'll be sharing the results we collected from our participants! We asked the physicians how long they feel is adequate for a recruiter to wait before reaching out. The answers were as follows: 🔸Within a week (the sooner the better!) 🔸Within 24-48 hours 🔸1-2 weeks 🔸No longer than a month Overall, the general consensus was that the sooner you reach out, the better - physicians prefer that you reach out within a week, at most. How long after you've viewed a candidate's application do you reach out?

Having a hard time figuring out how to answer the question “Tell me about yourself” during interviews? Use these tips: 1) Start with your name if you haven’t already introduced yourself. 2) Provide information about where you reside. 3) Speak about your educational background briefly. 4) Talk about your job experience highlighting relevant experience to the job you’re interviewing for. 5) Tell why you’re interested and qualified for the job. Example: “My name is Liz and I live in Chicago. I graduated from USC with a degree in elementary education. I have about 10 years of elementary teaching experience. I’m an energetic and forward thinking person. Teaching is my passion and I’m interested in joining the teaching staff here. ❌ : Provide meaningless details ✅: Make your statement impactful and under 2 minutes.
