"Think twice before resigning solely to secure a pay increase." I told my boss that I'm going to resign, and he offered me twice my current salary if I stay, what should I do? If you are offered double your salary because you told them you are going to walk, keep on walking. I will tell you exactly what is in the boss’s head: *I need this employee to do this job. *I will need to find a replacement and that will take some time. Okay, you decide to stay. But what is to stop the boss from firing you later on, like once a replacement is hired? What is to stop the boss from firing you, period? Nothing. If you were worth double your current salary, you should have been offered this before you told them you were going to resign. At this point, you have lost all value in your boss’s eyes and your best bet is to walk and to keep walking. Don’t let your boss sway your decision. Your boss should have known your value long before this point. Even if you accept it and stay, your boss now knows that you are looking to leave and they might try to force you out on their terms…before you are ready to make that leap.

I was interviewing a candidate recently, He resigned from his last company within a month. When I asked him why, he shared these reasons: - Salaries were credited after the 15th of every month. - Half-day salary was deducted if anyone was late by just 15 minutes. - The top management, including the CEO, was abusive, and no one listened to employees. - Every morning, employees were required to stand and greet the CEO like they were in school. He mentioned other issues as well, and I was stunned. Dear Employers, If you pay salaries late, don’t be surprised when your clients delay their payments too. If you use abusive language with employees, expect your clients to treat you the same way. What you sow is what you reap. Creating a productive, respectful, and friendly work culture is essential. You never truly know what your employees are going through. (Copied)

Would you consider a candidate who was taking a pay cut? I WOULD! 🙋♂️ The employment climate is turbulent, so people are re-aligning their salaries, and their priorities. I recently saw a post stating that the recruiter had been bitten by a situation where an interviewing candidate that said they'd consider a pay cut (and quite a hefty one), but ended up changing their mind and rejecting a lower offer and counter offering at 30% more than the original offer. They suggested that candidates who say they'd take a pay cut are lying to themselves. This year, I have placed candidates in fantastic roles that they are very happy with, despite it being less money than their previous. Take time to understand their exact circumstance and what priorities have more value for them than just money. This could be... - Flexibility - Shorter commutes - Better working environment - More opportunity in the future - Wanting to reduce responsibilities, particularly management - Because the market is difficult, they know what they need to earn, and want to prove themselves. Yes, it doesn't always work out. But it could. What do you think? If you knew the whole story, would you higher someone considering a reduction in salary? 🙋♂️ Full Disclosure: I can't find the post now, so apologies if I've misread! #hiring #recruitment #paycut #priorities

Why is pay "negotiable"? You are mentioning in the point what kind of people you need. Such a side, such experience, how smart you have to be, how much is better in length and width, how long duty ... And so on and so forth. Why is salary in job ads "negotiable"? Make it clear in advance what kind of people you need so that no one knocks you unnecessarily. If you do not say salary, applying there and appearing in person may also be meaningless to anyone. Just as you are mentioning what kind of people you need, make it clear how much you will pay the right employee. #stop_negotiable #No_negotiable
