Based on a global survey in 2023, the Future Forum Pulse Winter Snapshot cited that flexible work policies are the No. 1 factor behind the perceived improvement of company cultures. Flexible work seems to present a mixed impact on employee well-being and productivity. This Galllup's 2023 Global State of the Workplace Report, that represents more than 140 countries, says that employed individuals who were working remotely either full time or part time (hybrid) say they were experiencing more stress and more anger than employees who were working onsite full time. At the same time, Gallup data shows that remote and hybrid employees across the world shows higher engagement and higher productivity. This presents a complicated challenge for the companies. For employee well-being, if you require employees to be in the office full time, how to mitigate lower engagement and lower productivity?
