"Second Year Blues: Lessons Learned As a second-year student, I've learned a few valuable lessons that I wish I'd known as a first-year. One of the best opportunities of self improvement is getting involved in societies. I thought I'd "figure it out" later, but that turned out to be a major misstep. Remember, second year is your time to shine! It's the perfect opportunity to take on leadership roles, network with like-minded individuals, and gain invaluable experience. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and join societies that align with your interests. A little oopsie I made was underestimating the importance of continuous learning. Don't limit yourself to just attending classes. Seek out opportunities to learn from your peers, mentors, and industry professionals. Attend workshops, conferences, and online courses to expand your knowledge and skills. Remember, your college journey is about more than just academics. Take advantage of every opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally." P.s:(To my outstation juniors)Don't forget to make time to explore this amazing city! There's so much to see and do.

💌 Open Letter to all B-School Joinees (2024-26): Hey Juniors! I know it feels great to finally be a part of your dream college. Everything in the world must be giving you a very positive feeling. You might feel that your life is completely sorted now. Let me be very honest. It's not entirely true. Often, after joining their dream college, people start thinking that life is sorted and they'll eventually land something good without hustling as hard as they did before joining. Trust me, I know you're all toppers of your colleges, presidents of your clubs, and captains of your institute teams, but now you're among the most competitive peers in the country. You can't take this opportunity to learn from the best lightly. After joining a B-School, your approach should be to work hard. Be a part of some committees, participate in case competitions, strive for better grades (something even I feel I could have done better), keep yourself engaged, network with people, learn from them, and make the best use of these two years. Remember, joining a B-School is a goal you have already accomplished. So, set a new goal now and work towards it. I am 100% sure everyone who has made it to this place is talented enough to achieve all good things, given they work hard. I have written this to ensure that people are not misguided because of the success you have achieved. Regards, Yash Prasad

A Letter to 2024 University Graduates 💫 I have seen you toss your hats into the air, I commend you for this achievement, kudos to that 🥳!!! Take a moment to celebrate your hard work and dedication, for many aspire to this moment but do not have the opportunity to realize it. Now, I extend my warm welcome to another phase of life's journey! It's so exciting here....I mean it!!! Having walked this path before you, I would like to share some insights that might help some of you. 1. Most people finish school, close the books and promise never to open another, DO NOT FALL INTO THAT TRAP!!! It will be over for you. You see, all problems in the world come from ignorance and the only way to overcome ignorance is to get knowledge and the only way to get knowledge is to study. Most of what you will need to succeed in this life has never been taught in class, I think. 2. Don't repeat the same cycle of living by chance. Most might have been as I, taking a course in uni with no slightest consideration of what you want to do or your career goals, like we just happened to stumble on them (served well nevertheless). What I personally think ain't cool is going for masters just because you are scared of the street life. The world outside is not as daunting as it may seem; it is a profound teacher. I highly encourage you to go for your Masters if it's in alignment with your career goals and have the reason why, if you don't yet, take time to explore your interests, identify the gaps in your knowledge, and pursue advanced studies with purpose. 3. Engage with those who have walked this path before you. Seek advice, share experiences, and learn from the wisdom of your elders. Their insights are invaluable gems that can guide you on your journey. As you embark on this new adventure, I wish you all the best. Remember to be true to yourselves and embrace your unique paths. Cheers!

Scholarship Coach helping families who don't qualify for financial aid or FAFSA avoid loans and graduate college debt-free.
I discovered that summer is one of the best times of the year for students to actually win scholarships. Why? Hardly anyone is thinking to apply, so odds of winning are incredibly good. Here's a step-by-step guide on exactly how to find scholarships your student can apply for this summer:

Summer breaks offer a unique opportunity to advance your personal and academic growth, inviting you to explore, experiment, learn, travel, and craft memorable experiences. It's essential to understand that merely attending summer school is not a golden ticket to Ivy League admissions. To truly stand out in the competitive college admissions landscape, it's crucial to leverage your summer in ways that demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a capacity for leadership and innovation. Engage in community service projects, start a small business, conduct independent research, or immerse yourself in a new culture through travel. These experiences can vividly illustrate your unique qualities and potential to admissions committees. Summer is not just a season; it's a canvas for personal growth and exploration. It's about painting a picture of who you are and who you aspire to become. We encourage you to book a consultation with us to discover strategic ways to maximize your summer break.
