Books I’m looking forward to reading in 2024; non-fiction category: “Japanese Destroyer Captain: Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, Midway - The Great Naval Battles As Seen Through Japanese Eyes” by Captain Tameichi Hara of the Japanese Imperial Navy with Fred Saito and Roger Pineau. Captain Tameichi Hara was known as the Unsinkable Captain. He had over a hundred clashes with the allies during the Second World War. He lived by the code of honor in line with his samurai grandfather and he freely praises the American courage and resourcefulness. It should be a fascinating read.
