Statement from Taoiseach Simon Harris: https://lnkd.in/eAdSrvFd
All who work deserve to be treated in a decent , fair and respectful way; this should and must include all politicians. Anyone doing otherwise should face the consequences and the full rigour of the law.
It’s time the laws should change to require social media to verify those scumbags who seek to damage democracy and society. It’s well within the authority of politicians to make these laws. Time for change
Dear acting Taoiseach, please show us how you acted in consonance with the with the 1916 proclamation and the 1919 constitution which are the foundation documents of the Nation-State, the soverign Republic of Ireland?
I absolutely agree. "Any efforts to target, demean or dehumanise anyone [in their workplace] should never be normalised and always called out". Perhaps, you can reflect on how this plays out with our "front line heroes" of An Garda Síochána who are afraid of consequences of doing their jobs. Case in point Dublin, 23rd Nov 2023. Similarly, our "front line heroes" working in our hospitals under Health Service Executive Every worker deserves respect and dignity in their workplace and should not experience fear. Especially, fear of speaking out. As Taoiseach, you have the power to enforce accountability to institutions/organisations to protect every single worker in Ireland. It is too late for me but there is no way any worker should experience what I went through (including WRC and Labour Court outcomes). Please act on your sentiments above and ensure everyone is safe in their workplace, not just politicians. #endworkplacebullying #toxicworkplaces #dignityatwork #psychologicalsafety
I joined LinkedIn years ago to get connections to help keep work coming in. I did not expect this to be an all mothering political platform. Please refrain from using this platform for this type of sickening sucking up to the political society.
Well said noone should feel threatened or unsafe doing their job
We must never be deterred from the good work we do... welll done Taoiseach. You and your family deserve safety 🙏
You have support Simon. Cowards and bad actors hide online and create an atmosphere of insecurity and threat. Much of the activity is criminal and criminals need to be brought to justice. So take care and fight them. They want division and destruction. We want peace, justice and equality. YOU have our support.
You and your family have our full support. Our people will not tolerate these devious dispicable criminal and anti societal activities. It is absolutely unacceptable that the Taoiseach and other leaders and their families, in civil and political leadership roles, are threatened and targeted by criminals and thugs. These thugs are self appointed, self serving, dysfunctional individuals and they will not succeed if we reject absolutely their ideologies. We all must challenge their values and actions. We all must stand together to protect and support our democratic institutions, all our elected leaders and representatives, duly appointed judiciary and members of our Garda and Security Forces as they protect our communities. We cannot have anarchy, physical and verbal abuse of innocents, corruption and violence directed at ethnic minorities in our communities. Our political leaders who stand up against these outrageous actions and behaviours are deserving of our full support and respect.

2moHyde Park speakers were able to speak about anything but you were open to challenge. I believe the anonymity of social media is a root cause of a serious decay in society and is empowering these “warriors” who in reality are simple cowards. People need to be held accountable for their actions and words in all walks of life as this automatically encourages civility and a little more of what I often tell my kids which is Think, Compose, Review, Send or as my father would say engage brain before mouth…
