GovTech4All's Pilot 1 on quantumsequrity just had its first technical review meeting in Athens, Greece 🇬🇷. This meeting, held at GRNET - Greek Research & Technology Network's headquarters, brought together all team members to assess the project's current status and quality. During the meeting, progress, use cases, and strategies to increase user engagement and collaboration with similar projects were discussed. I was honoured to have spoken at #SEMIC2024 yesterday and to share how we at the European Commission and the Publications Office in particular are contributing to an interoperable Europe and our visions for the future. Digital government is transforming how we approach policy making and legislation. It calls for us to be data-driven, to consider the digital impact of new policies, and to exploit this transformation to aid legislative processes and easy access to trustworthy information. At the Publications Office of the European Union, we are working across all three dimensions where the key role of data, the importance of standards, the pivotal role of agreed semantics, machine readability and trustworthiness are omnipresent. We want citizens and businesses to trust that our policies and laws are based on evidence that they can check. In an age of disinformation, we want to provide trusted source of public data. Can you imagine not being able to access authentic #EULaw anymore? To help make change happen, we must see how we can bridge the skills gaps, stimulate open-mindedness and awareness within our organisations. #SEMIC2024 is clearly helping us to do this. Let us be the architects of a future where digital government is not just a concept but a practical reality enhancing the lives of every European citizen !

🌍 European TRUSTED project: Strengthening Data Protection Protocols 🔒   We are excited to be part of the TRUSTED project - a European initiative focused on enhancing data protection and privacy in digital identity management! 🚀 TRUSTED (Enabling Trustworthy European Data Spaces through Self-Sovereign Identity and Privacy Preserving Technologies) aims to strenghten data protection protocols, assuming a key role in the development of technologies that ensure the security and privacy of digital identity, promoting an ecosystem that promotes trust in data exchange. Yesterday the kick-off meeting of this research has taken place in Vigo, Spain. The TRUSTED project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.   👩💻 Our team at Fraunhofer ISST focuses on defining the technological requirements needed to align with EU data space specifications, such as EHDS and Gaia-X, and translating them into a comprehensive system architecture. We will translate end-user needs into technical solutions, developing an architecture that ensures performance, reliability, and scalability. 👨💻   Together, we are working to build a trustworthy ecosystem for data exchange, shaping the future of secure digital identity in Europe!
