My name is Joy Clark. I'm the chief people officer at Worldwide Clinical Trials. Worldwide Clinical Trials is a contract research organization. Our mission is to work with passion and purpose every day while we save and improve lives. It's one of the key reasons that people come to work here is they can do work that's aligned with their passion and their purpose. We find that here at Worldwide, if you're able to have the team connect on a deeper personal level faster than enthusiasm, expand that passion, they want to stay in the organization. They want to contribute more on the projects they're working on. They're generally more excited. And not everyone may care about the same initiatives, the same decisions, but they they care about something. Clearly this is not my first organization I've worked at, but it is the first organization that's fully supported our initiatives in patient advocacy, nonprofit support wholeheartedly. Often we just start having a conversation of why we want to support this initiative. And then as other senior leaders get involved, it really snowballs into positive change. Often a mom and a dad who have a son or a daughter. A child with this rare disease that are told there's nothing we can do for you. So they fundraise, they, you know, spread word throughout the community around what this disease is. But I, I don't necessarily agree that the onus should be on a family to develop a life saving treatment for their child living with they often life limiting rare disease, knowing that patients are quite literally waiting for the only treatment they receive, perhaps not in their lifetime. You know, so much has changed in the last five, eight years for employers and employees. Have such a greater expectation now than they ever have for employers to play a role as a social steward. That's one way that we get to to do that is by focusing on the way that we contribute to the community and doing it in a way that's very values aligned with what our employees care about. We've got over 3500 employees now in over 55 countries. So no two people care about exactly the same thing, right? But a lot of us care about very similar things. And having a platform like goes around is incredibly helpful so that we can be aligning. People with shared interests and shared passions leveraging a platform like goes around internally supports that conversation much faster by having a single platform where all of our corporate goals and initiatives around community support are located. So if an employee is interested, they can log, you know, their volunteer hours, but also see other opportunities of volunteerism, fundraising and other ways to support communities. Supporting social justice, supporting the issues that that patients care about just goes hand in hand with the work that we do. We are volunteers, we are advocates, we are caregivers for people in all of these communities.

Providing Integrated Care: A Crucial Approach for Domiciliary Care..
Please watch this video. It highlights an important issue: many people in the community, like Sam, have health-related issues but prefer to remain in their own homes while accessing care. This desire underscores the need for integrated care, which helps support individuals' wishes and provides numerous benefits.
When setting up new care companies, such as domiciliary care services, offering person-centred care and providing quality, specialized training is imperative. This approach is essential not only for the well-being of those in need but also for the growth and sustainability of your business. By focusing on person-centred care, you help prevent hospital admissions and ensure that your clients receive the best possible support in the comfort of their homes.
Moreover, as the demand for social care increases, particularly with people living longer and having more complex needs, it's crucial to ensure that your business model and plan are aligned with the future of social care. This alignment will support the sustainability of your business and help meet the growing needs of the community.
Make sure your business is prepared for the future. If you're unsure how to proceed, let Team Care help you create a business model that addresses social impacts and improves sustainability. By doing so, you'll be contributing to a more robust and effective care system that benefits everyone involved.

How Low Staffing Levels Impact Care Home Residents, and the Solution We've Found ⬇
Within care homes, there has been a persistent issue which has been affecting residents directly - low staffing levels. The impact of low staffing levels in a snapshot means that there is compromised personalized care, essential tasks racing against the clock, and an emotional toll on residents and caregivers alike.
In the midst of this challenge, we've discovered a transformative solution. ESOM Care stands as a beacon, providing a specialized platform to seamlessly bridge staffing gaps, ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality care for your residents.
Staffing scheduling becomes automated, and gaps are predicted so time by management is much more productively spent on overall operations and care than the administrative tasks associated with scheduling shifts for care workers. This means at all times; residents benefit from a safe level of care workers being on duty.
Join the movement! Share your experiences, thoughts, and solutions below. Together, we can elevate care standards in an automated way!

My new carrier sharing partner and how they look at patient advocacy.
Doctors and Patients Deserve
When it comes to the relationship with their doctors, patients want more. More attention, more time, and more all-around effort regarding diagnosis and treatment options.
As a DPC provider, you already do healthcare differently with a patient-centric model that allows you to spend more time with your patients and prioritize the patient-physician bond.
At Clearwater Health, we also believe in a deeper doctor-patient relationship and can help you do more, by giving you extra time to provide your patients more personalized care to improve their health outcomes. ClearShare handles patient care when a medical event becomes a need that extends outside of your clinic’s typical care. We’ve got you covered.
In #patientadvocacy, how do we define and measure success❓
Success can be understood through correlating actions with perceptions and establishing consistent standard measurements, driving industry benchmarking.
With stack-ranking and other metrics, advocacy teams need to clearly showcase their year-over-year achievements as way to legitimize their role within the larger organizational context in order to be given the resources necessary to drive better patient outcomes.
Effectiveness in patient advocacy hinges on utilizing data and insights to gauge outcomes and understand patient feedback. It involves a continuous cycle of tracking outcomes, gathering patient feedback, and adapting strategies to meet evolving needs.
How do you use data and insights to gauge the effectiveness of your patient advocacy efforts?

Happy Patient Advocacy Day, everyone.
Today's a day to re-commit ourselves to the core reason many of us chose a career in healthcare: the unwavering commitment to patient care and well-being.
True progress in healthcare is measured by how equitably we can deliver medical advancements to every patient, regardless of their background or circumstances. As someone who's working in the healthcare sector for many years, I’m acutely aware of the disparities that persist in our healthcare system.
It’s not just about developing life-saving treatments; it’s about ensuring those treatments are accessible to all who need them. And achieving this accessibility is only possible if we're intentional about being patient advocates.
Patient advocacy is at the heart of health equity, and it's certainly at the heart of Cosmo Pharma. A commitment to patient advocacy challenges us to listen more closely to the voices of patients, to understand their struggles, and to break down the barriers that prevent them from receiving optimal care.
I'd love to know how you're reflecting on and recentering patient advocacy today!

Patient advocacy serves as a powerful voice for patients, ensuring that healthcare innovations and digital solutions reflect their needs and perspectives. They can help bridge gaps between patients and healthcare providers or app developers, as evidenced by improved outcomes in clinical trials and drug development. This also highlights the need for increased advocacy and research within digital health to enhance adoption and improve patient outcomes.
We recognise the value of patient engagement and its contribution to the success of our products by including patient feedback at multiple stages during product development.
