#KnowNothingCISO disclaimer applies THOUGHTS ON “THE SYSTEM” Fractal thoughts triggered by Darius Burschka post on creativity and current education #system and Hari Sankar Who in a post today (in comments) said Quote Hari Sankar It’s been 180 days since my last paycheck. This isn’t a call for help, or a sad sigh. It’s just a fact. I voluntarily resigned in a jobless market, because I did not understand why I was doing what I was doing at my last job. It was reckless at best, but necessary. Since then, I’ve had multiple realizations about myself and work. Questioning the #system is an enjoyably dangerous work hobby of mine. Unquote Current education vs Real Learning We have to ask ourselves why the current education system was put in place in the first place..for that we have to go back in time to our grandparents or great grandparents era when industrialization and mass manufacturing and factories were born Did you need creativity in factories? Or did you need obedience and discipline? In the comment is a 1936 Charlie Chaplin movie that explains why creativity is not needed and why the “system” dumbs it down There was a brief period in between the industrial era and the information era when creativity was needed, but that gap/opening will be closed soon..when software code will be written by machines? Now you need “line managers” to manage the workers and middle management and upper management to manage the managers.. was there any need for “creativity” there? On Curiosity “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. I have no particular talent. I am merely inquisitive.” Albert Eienstien Creativity and inquisitivity in a workforce will always be curse, there are a few humans who escape from there curse.. they pursue real learning and life long learning, they develop critical thinking and creativity…if they are successful in hiding this at work, they will keep thier jobs. The “system” cannot be questioned or challenged from inside. If questioned the “system” will collapse. There are a few people like Hari who will get out the system and question the system. Is that an enough force the change the “system”.. No. just like a hurricane system is powered by the warm waters of the ocean, the “system” called capitalism is fueled by greed and money.. it is unstoppable. If you want to be real learner, seek your #Suswasaspace find a guru and you are on your own! Subramani Sarode For that you first need to realize and acknowledge that there is a “system” outside the “system”. The “career and work and salary system” we call as The System” is NOT the “real system” for humans. Raman PK #stockholmsyndrome, #prisoner of the #system

Hmmm, imho they are close, but an adjective is missing. The *current* #education destroys creative geniuses (see https://lnkd.in/etqQztdY) As you see from the experiment, #children lose their imagination over time. What is happening? I guess that reading to children is a lot better tool to boost imagination than all the educational children shows on TV. Sometimes, I doubt the validity of the studies that children learn better from continuous repeats. Have you watched such a children show? Continuous (visual) repeats... no space for phantasy. https://lnkd.in/eU99R2gv

I have forgone my pay checks for 20 years now! The travails of that decision is the major cause of finding my calling! I came across Hari Shankar post in my feed. However, I chose not to write about my experience which resembles in a way! Now, that it has come again with the mention of my name, I shared it. Thanks for the mention and sharing the link to Ted talk , really enriching my knowledge. Gopal Padinjaruveetil
