Attending the EEMODS conference in Lucerne Switzerland. I co-wrote two papers with Lily Baldewicz and presented one of two papers. The paper I presented was a summary of the updated NEMA Power Index Standard MG 10011. I represented National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and Nidec Motor Corporation along with Kirk Anderson. It is interesting to discuss energy efficiency of motor, drives and motor systems with a truly international group of manufacturers, regulators, academics and advocates. Many different perspectives. Efficient Power Conversion introduced the 100 V, 1 mOhm EPC2361. This is the lowest on-resistance #GaN FET on the market offering double the power density compared to EPC’s prior-generation products. The EPC2361 has a typical RDS(on) of just 1 mOhm in a thermally enhanced QFN package with exposed top and tiny, 3 mm x 5 mm, footprint. The maximum RDS(on) x Area of the EPC2361 is 15 mΩ*mm2 – over five times smaller than comparable 100 V silicon #MOSFETs.

By producing clean hydrogen for fuel cells, electrolyzers are key components in the transition to sustainable energy systems and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
