GARBE Industrial Real Estate Italy (GARBE) continues to expand its logistics #investments in the Italian market announcing the acquisition of a 265,000m² plot of land in Tortona, in the province of Alessandria. The site is fully permitted for #construction, allowing the development of a 102,000m² #logistics complex in a single block. Kiloutou opens first depot in Murcia Kiloutou in Spain has opened a new depot in Mucia, the first the company has opened in the region. The depot is placed at C. Uruguay, 19, Pol. Ind, 30820 San Ginés, around 15 minutes from central Murcia. The company said the location is designed to ensure “efficient logistics and the immediate availability of our machines and tools.” A post on the Kiloutou España LinkedIn page said the depot will offer customers “sustainable machinery and expert advice in your construction projects.” The opening brings its network in Spain, which it first entered in 2015 when it acquired the Rentecnika equipment rental business, to 31 branches. It also follows its acquisition of Spanish rental company ToolQuick Alquiler earlier this year. The deal for Madrid-headquarted ToolQuick added branches in Barcelona, Alicante, Valencia, Madrid, Malaga and Seville to Kiloutou’s footprint in Spain. Kiloutou said the purchase will expand its network and complete its offering with branches dedicated to tools for the construction, renovation and civil engineering sectors. Cyril Brillouet, managing director, Kiloutou Spain, said of the deal, “ToolQuick is our eighth acquisition in Spain but by far the most strategic one. It is one of the few Spanish machinery rental companies with a strong presence in multiple key provinces and with a vocation for growth and expansion. “Our aim at Kiloutou is to support this growth strategy by combining our offering across the Spanish market and sharing the market knowledge of our teams. Rula Developments has submitted an outline planning application for the #redevelopment of a significant 11.7-acre site close to the M1 in Sheffield with proposals to deliver up to 272,000 sq ft. of new, state-of-the-art #industrial/ #logistics / #warehouse accommodation. The prime site is located just off Europa Way, adjacent to the well-established Sheffield Business Park, and in the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District (AMID). Rula acquired the site in November last year and purchased a further frontage plot for larger and more prominent roadside premises. Rula is proposing to demolish the existing factory building being vacated by Tinsley Bridge Group (TBG) with a development has the potential to support the creation of 270 to 500-plus opportunities, depending on the occupier and mix of uses. Anthony Clitheroe, Development Director at Rula Developments said, “We are delighted to submit this exciting planning application to redevelop this strategically important #brownfield site. Our proposals seek to replace the old manufacturing building with extremely high quality, state of the art warehousing space in what is an already well-established #manufacturing and logistics location in Sheffield, just two miles from the M1 motorway. “Indeed, the area is already recognised as a hotbed for cutting-edge industry and is well placed for last mile logistics operators serving the Sheffield City Region. With 2.32 million sqm of industrial and logistics space under construction, Poland is the top European market for development activity, says the latest quarterly report from BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland “At a Glance – Industrial and Logistics Market in Poland, Q1 2024”. “At the end of March 2024, Poland’s total industrial and logistics stock reached 32.7 million sqm, up by nearly 10 percent year-on-year. This represents the fastest pace of growth in Europe. Development continues with approximately 2.32 million sqm underway, marking a slight decrease from the previous quarter. The largest volumes of new space under construction are in the ‘Big Five’ markets and near Gdansk and Krakow. Development activity is also gathering pace in smaller markets such as Bydgoszcz-Toruń and Szczecin,” says Martyna Kajka, MRICS, Director of Industrial and Logistics, BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland. The building is strategically located in a logistics hub near Schiphol Airport and benefits from excellent connections to the A4 and A9. The landlord was commercially advised by Bridgegap - a real estate collective INDUSTRIAL real estate partners. The tenant was advised by Van Gool Elburg Vastgoedspecialisten - A Dils company.
