What we do and why we do it VR lacks life-like experiences. That's what we address at Gracia delivering feeling of presence through photorealism and natural parallax effects in our 3D scenes. Look at the level of details! How it works: Step 1. The scene or an object is captured using regular 2D cameras from a few viewpoints. Any lighting conditions, and challenging surfaces. Step 2. We train an AI model from scratch based on the footage on our proprietary pipeline. As a result we get an AI model that "knows" how the scene looks like from any viewpoint. Step 3. On-device rendering. One can walk inside the scene and experience it from any angle and perspective while AI model renders the picture for both of your eyes separately in the real-time (550 fps actually). Separate picture for both eyes delivers this parallax effect, which our brain uses to understand the distance and size of an object. To the best of our knowledge, we are currently the only project that enables real-time rendering on standalone headset ;)

VR shorts don’t know “space” exists. This past 2 weeks I ve been doing an indigestion of VR shorts on Q3. And I found out that space is an optional, for how beautiful the shorts are, for how poetic or technically interesting they can appear, all the one I ve watched are still completely based on traditional bi-dimensional narrative structures, looking like some sort of transpositions of what we are used to watch on normal screens, but, well, now with the screens glued to your face. Make me feel that all I watch is just an adaptation to VR and not actual development for virtual reality, and the second thought that follows is: What’s the meaning to bring a narrative into VR if the most important component, S P A C E, is completely ignored? Maybe I need to watch more stuff…. Any recommendations? - - - - - - - Below clip from De Imperio short film #artdirector #creativity #creativedirector #education #design

Completely Web-Based Augmented Reality around merch line stickers from a streamer that I enjoy. This sticker reminded me so much guitar hero and I had to make something around it. Why I love web-based AR VS other types is because all of those people in the chat at this moment can just go pick up there phone, scan the QR code that's in this video and play the game right on their own sticker, while still enjoying the rest of stream. News ways to entertain crowds, keep them motivated, and show them new perspectives is coming soon with this types of tech like AR. VR, XR and now AI. I can't wait to be apart of all of it's capabilities. #AugmetnedReality #AR #Unity3D

What drives the growth of the light field market? The demand for #immersivemedia experiences, fueled by movies, #videogames, and VR/AR technologies, propels the light field industry. Light field cameras capture detailed light properties, allowing for multi-perspective viewing in photos and videos, enhancing immersion. #Lightfielddisplays, exemplified by companies like Light Field Lab, offer realistic #3D visuals without specialized gear, catering to the rising interest in lifelike digital content. //HOW AUGMENTED REALITY CAN SAFE LIVES! 🔥 Imagine a world where Augmented and Mixed Reality is not used just for fun. Forget about Pokemon Go and VR P0rn for a while. AR and VR tech can seriously change the health industry and save many lives. In this example, they brought 3D reconstruction from MRI and CT scans together with real life, and it worked like a charm! This technology can be a game changer for surgeons as they can now see 3D models in all contexts, which is way better than just 2D images. P.S: Personally, I hope this innovation will become the standard in the near future. The human spirit and ingenuity never cease to amaze me! While exploring the history of virtual reality, I discovered the Sensorama, a revolutionary device from 1962 created by Morton Heilig that I had never heard of. It offered an early immersive experience with features like a 3D display, wind effects, scents, stereo sound, and a motion chair. Imagine what we will experience with the next generation of VR/MX/AR that will be supported and advanced with the power of AI. https://lnkd.in/grfdPbDR

Sometimes we are asked (similar to famous bloggers), why use Virtual Reality for visualizing CT & MRI images? First, VR can provide a better understanding of complex anatomical structures by allowing users to interact with dynamically created real models, not just designed ones. You can manipulate them in various ways – slice, rotate, change filters, etc. Secondly, it simplifies things for everybody. Not everyone is capable of interpreting 2D images and mentally constructing the complete and accurate 3D picture. Although, of course, a bit of VR practice is needed – but it takes just minutes to learn. Last but not least, it's stunning. VR is still a new medium that not many people have experienced yet. If you want to impress your partners or patients, this is the best way to showcase your work. We faced a new challenge – to create a unique VR simulator. To build an immersive platform for active communication, we needed to come up with realistic environments and situations and endow the characters with "intelligence." To achieve this, we harnessed the potential of AI and integrated around 100 scenarios. As a result, the characters can engage in full-fledged conversations, providing accurate real-time responses. Additionally, after the virtual conversation, you can receive an analysis of your own strengths and weaknesses, helping you to improve your communication skills. Here’s how it looks. #amazing #innovation. If we, as a species, can manage to survive for the next 10 years I think we'll be exponentially more intelligent than today and #AI #robots will be performing all manner of jobs humans do today. The question is, should we let the market drive such change or should Govt. be in control? Discuss https://lnkd.in/eMQXxMvb
