Participating in a recent Job Evaluation project has provided me with a profound insight into the numerous levels, hierarchies, and relationships that exist within the organizational structure of MBI. By using DB points system, we meticulously assessed the education, experience, responsibilities, skills, and management contributions associated with each role. This comprehensive evaluation ensured that compensation and career advancement opportunities were allocated in a manner that truly reflected the value each employee brings to the organization. Through this process, I gained a holistic understanding of how our organizational structure operates, how roles are interconnected, and how decisions about compensation and career progression are made.

I wanted to share the opportunity to register for this free October webinar with my network. The provocative question of the extent to which the DEI role needs to be professionalised will be explored by a panel at the top of their game, including the ever excellent Dan Robertson of FAIRER Consulting I will be tuning in to find out more, but my initial thoughts are that more attention does need to be paid to ensure that any skilled and professional practitioner needs to keep 4Cs at the front of their mind when executing their responsibilities: Choice - what to focus on Congruence - ensuring that all initiatives, resources and policies are aligned with each other and to an organisation's particular culture and values Clarity - the extent to which everyone understands the priorities and chosen initiatives Commitment - a willingness to invest in and allocate resources to deliver the selected choices.
